Rainbow Six Siege

Rainbow Six Vegas was the first game that got me into mp gaming. This looks fantastic and will be a day one buy for me and my mates.

DAY f***ING ONE. They better make it feel and play like the original Rainbow Six games. They nailed the gameplay, the shooting mechanics, the cover...just ACES. I want some returning of some maps too, like Airport..... god damn I am getting a boner.

They should do it like Battlefield where when you do enough damage to the building it collapses. Would it be a draw if everyone died? :hehe:

Technically prolly a loss for the RS team as the hostages would be killed, however for fairness it'd have to be a draw. It would be funny though.

It could be cool if you could pancake whole floors or rooms. Lure some terrorist/RS mates into a torn up area and finish off anything structural and flatten them.

Almost no muzzle flash in the dark + no muzzle rise while shooting full auto =eeek

That's a good question. Patriots seemed a bit too "cinematic" (the bane of many shooters) and the whole "Occupy Wall Street" theme felt a tad forced.I pray they go back to the roots and add more customization elements to the SP.

Man,I remember playing RS6 for the first time in 1998 (what a year that was!). "Tango Down!"

With this being the age of remakes I would love to get a Rainbow Six super collection of remakes with the likes of Rogue Spear, Urban Operations, and Raven Shield. Oh my Lanta that would be great. Do the same for the original Ghost Recons while you're at it.

I'm telling you man those were some good times. GR, Island Thunder, Desert Siege. Rainbow 6 Raven Shield, Athena Sword, Iron Wrath, Splinter Cell 1-Chaos Theory were all amazing games. Every game in their respective franchises after those were totally terrible, modernized, streamlined and noobed out.

RS3 was my my most played game online on the OG XBox. Game was so much fun met some cool people I use to play with. Black Arrow was good also.

Rainbow Six 3 and Rainbow Six Black Arrow were awesome. Rainbow Six Lockdown is where the franchise started to head south from it's roots.

I remember in RS: Vegas I scanned my head in using the little web cam thingy on 360. It looked just like me! That was so cool and I wish more games could do that well.

Airport from Raven shield was one my favorite maps for clan vs clan matches. Good times.

Raven Shield was the best of the series. Our clan had 3 dedicated servers, one being for custom maps only. That's when Ubi actually put effort into making their games challenging with free content like the map editor (a real one) that allowed you to import content you created with third party software.

I thought this looked AWESOME. I just hope there's a lot more game modes on bigger maps that aren't all "one life only on a tiny map." I also hope the control is fluid. It looks a lot better than back in the day. I just remember playing on consoles other R6 titles & it was sluggish compared to other titles out at the same time.

Lots of recoil and muzzle flash there too. Love the destruction.

I don't mind the focus on multiplayer, but I'm hoping it isn't built around PvP only. Co-op in the Vegas games was a ton of fun and was just as popular as the PvP modes for a long time.

The game has CO-OP. It just unclear if it is simply an extension of the SP Campaign or a full on standalone game mode. but given how the MP is, what could they do in the CO-OP mode that was any different ? I mean, MP is basically just CO-OP but against other people playing CO-OP.

This game looks like the only MP game besides Halo I'll need all year. I'm not a big MP player so I usually only get 1 or 2, and this will definitely be one of them.

They could do an AI Terrorist Hunt like the old games, or two to four players through the story campaign.

I played it at E3 and absolutely loved it. The pre-fight planning stage is excellent, and listening for gunshots/movement is so critical. Communication amongst team members is the most important factor to winning.
