Something was sour for them to leave and them talking about pushing the boundaries seems to indicate MS gave them boundaries.
It's more than that if they bring up pushing the boundaries after mentioning no longer being exclusive.They did an interview and it just sounded like they were really against exclusivity, like they want it gone altogether so everyone can play any game on anything.
