I think it was a tweet from Mat saying consoles are far from dead , they will always be there in one forum or another, just that gaming companies are looking to expand as the gaming communities evolve.

I believe Xbox will still be around in one form or another but definitely console space has dwindled since the 360 era.

-The increasing drop in Xbox console sales could drive game devs to start avoiding the platform.
-The declining influence of the giant due to many factors has started making devs feel uneasy.
-The shifting strategies in the market and Xbox’s focus on Game Pass could be its only way out.

Phil has already stated that Xbox consoles are their core for their business and are here to stay. Next gen to be announced and most powerful console to date.

They also have more support than ever. And with MS having so many studios, support for the console isn’t going away lol.

I have to believe once these studios start releasing games then Xbox will turn a corner. Of course I believe there will be people who will s*** on those games but that's to be expected.

I don't think they will go away either next gen because they can subsidize the hardware costs through softwares and services which is nice.
