Random Gaming News V3

I think the big problem is that gamers follow the trends, and often, the streamers and reviewers who make them.

I just think of Fallout. Fallout 76 specifically has been a thing for years now, and never got much traction. Now all of a sudden, everyone is playing it along with Fallout 4 (granted F4 had the next gen update and was a well regarded game).

I see Dr Disrespect playing a lot of Halo Infinite lately. I mean... I know it has had some updates, but why didn't this game get more traction when it launched?

I honestly don't think it is a sequel vs a new IP, I think gamers are too trendy, and often passing on good games right in front of them.

For people who remember Titanfall 2's launch all those years ago (crammed in between a COD and BF game). People HATED that game, and it died off before it got going. Over the years a Youtuber picks it up and it gets a revival. Now, people are screaming for TF3. Well, you sh** all over TF2 when it launched. I remember buying TF2 and playing it, only to find the servers dying off and everyone hating the game.

I'm not talking about games that launch in an awful state but get fixed, but games that launched and just never gained traction.
One thing I’ve noticed is streamers love shooters with big skill gaps. They don’t like shooters that have even playing fields.

Funny how many have been caught using cheat mods.
and ways to get around the SBMM. So many are getting caught now using two accounts in Warzone they use the low lvl low KD account to search for a match then back it out and stay in with their main account then rape the lobby with high kills. Then they lie about it and try to act like their high kill matches are in high skill lobbies lol.

It is so obvious when they shoot someone from behind and the enemy doesn't even react. They are totally playing against people who barely know how to move the controller.

So many of them are using mouse + kb, but with an adapter to emulate a controller, so they get mouse + aim assist. There's a $10 program on PC that let's you do it.

Hey, it dropped to 11th by the end of the year lol, well to be fair that's in the US. I've seen some reports that globally it may have hit number 10 in sales for 2023. Not really as high on the list as you'd expect for a game that was hyped the way it was though is it :p Mortal Kombat 1 had beaten it in the US and globally in sales and it had only hit 3 million before the end of the year.

I'm going to guess that the video is by a girl that has to make sure the camera is set up right to show down her top?
lol nah, to hide that double chin 😆 her attire changes tho, but in some cases that contrast enhances, the gradient I’d that raked tho.

Most people use that angle anyways

So now GP doesn't come into its sales? It still sold several million to go with all the people playing(over 2M bought the premium edition to play it a week early)via GP and in this articles case was still the only new IP to sit in the top 10 played list.
Otherwise games seem to prefer playing older games.

Yeah a game like that takes a long time to finish so it's going to have a long play time if people don't give up on it. I don't think I'll go back until they start adding land vehicles etc, that seems like it should have been done before launch but apparently Phil wanted it out before Bethesda did and he got his way. I thought MS gave them more time than Bethesda would have taken on their own but apparently Phil really did make them put it out earlier than they wanted. That's according again to Heisenberg over on Neogaf who does have sone contacts in the industry and not just Mike Ybarra.

I don't think you would deny that if MS hadn't bought Bethesda and the game had stayed multiplatform it would have sold a lot more copies. Again MK1 sold almost 3 million copies by the end of the year and it outsold Starfield on both US and Global total sales.

wasn’t it found in the leaks that Sony wanted to make Starfield PlayStation exclusive, if that were the case it’d probably just now maybe being released for pc this year

Oh please, even Xbox CC's are laughing at that obvious joke in the comments. Ones that most rely on for news too. Happy Monday ! 😁

I think you're targeting the audience with that. Probably get better reaction in the Twitter space.

That wasn't a leak that was a rumor that some were going with and I'm sure they inquired about it but I doubt they'd have spent the money it would have taken. Phil said he had "heard" it too but there was never any confirmation about it and honestly I don't think Bethesda would have done it at the end of the day. The two games they did it for were never going to be mega hits and I think Sony wasted whatever they paid on Deathloop and Ghostwire.
