I've been playing the remake on Xbox One, and it's absolutely beautiful and it's also pretty fun! I was gonna hold off for a price drop, or the PS4 version, but I might have to get this on launch!! If the game had better characters and story it would be amazing! Not a big fan of the new Lara Croft though :/ She's an annoying ass bitch!
I mean, the game looks good and all, but in a year with the witcher 3, MGS5 and fallout 4 you're calling tomb raider GotY? Must really love this type of game huh? Not trashin' TR, I really enjoyed the reboot and will get this one eventually, but its got some stiff competition...
I'm just going to leave this here.... (it's beautiful!)
I think any of those games could win GOTY. It will probably go to Fallout 4 or TW3 but Rise of the Tomb Raider is going to get some votes. The game looks amazing.
The only way to tell between cut scenes and gameplay transitions is by the camera centering behind Lara. 
The game is stunning.
Assuming they haven't messed with the gameplay mechanics from the last version then control should be spot on.
We have been told there has been additional attention given to tomb's/puzzles which is great.
The only major question mark for me that remains is how good the story will be. A secondary question mark is if we will get a shower scene.

Um...dayum. Finally some next gen console graphics and animation. I would have thought that was PC. That just looks sick.
The presentation on this game is off the charts. Those who talk about resolutions and other junk can forget about that. That video with someone playing just made it that much better.
I never had so many games that went gold from MS ever. FIrst it was Forza 6, Halo 5, and now Tomb Radier.

I wonder if the poor sales (according to Square Enix) of the prior Tomb Raider game provided MS with the opportunity to sweep in a share the production costs for the sequel in exchange for exclusivity.
Actually they did look awesome going on 20 years ago.
I must say that there has been a bigger leap in graphics quality in the past 5 years than there were in the first 15.
The hair simulation is the best I've seen. If you look closely at her ponytail, you see strand hairs are not all the same shape.

I like the little touches like how she tightens her ponytail when she gets out of the water, and how her hair gets wet now
Yeah, cool how she sort of rings out her hair after swimming... a subtle little animation they'd never need to make a male protagonist do...

That's awesome! The only thing that I want to see is her actually breathing. Hearing her gasp without the corresponding movement in her ribs is a little disconnecting, and I'm surprised they haven't done it considering how much effort they have put in otherwise.
I want a hot coffee patch for this game. And more camel toe.
