Xbox One is beating Xbox 360 on all levels. Generation over generation, we're doing much better.
Not in market share you're not. Sony has ripped a ton of market share away from MS over the past 14 months. Also, if you're talking pure numbers I would argue that the Xbox One is not doing "much better" than the 360. Didn't MS sell around 10.4 million 360's worldwide in the same time frame? I would hardly call a few percentage points more "much better". Let's not also forget that year two of the 360 was very successful. The Xbox One has to endure a price bump and a game drought through the first half of 2015.
Sony's knocking it out of the park on the sales numbers, but the most sales doesn't equate to the best product. The most sales doesn't equate to the most high-grade games. The most sales doesn't equate to the best services, the most cutting edge technology (which is not just the number of pixels, or how those pixels are shaded), or the platform with the brightest future.

"Best product" can be defined in a variety of ways. One could argue that Velocity 2X, Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition, and Rogue Legacy are "high grade games" considering the grade's those game's received from critics. One could define "best product" as which system has more highly reviewed games. Goal posts can be moved by anyone. What can not be manipulated is which console is more desired by the people. The PS4 was simply the more wanted console for the past 14 months. This much is unarguable.
- We have more high-grade games. It's just a fact. It's math.
- Our service is more stable, and built from significantly more systems over the face of the earth. When both PSN and Xbox Live were attacked, LIVE recovered significantly faster. LIVE customers have never had their identities stolen en mass. It's a better service.
- Our services are better engineered. The voice chat is cross-platform, and cloud hosted. It frees up resources on the console. Sony's isn't, and doesn't.
- The cloud compute SDK is something Sony doesn't have, and can't compete with. Few companies in the world can. Sure it's in its infancy, but it's already making a difference. Drivatar's in the Forza games beats driver AI in any other driving game to date.
- We're adding more features, far more frequently than Sony. Our updates are meaningful changes, and they're constant. Our customers get more out of their purchase than Sony's customers in that sense.
- Kinect is something I never want to be without. It makes entertainment significantly smoother and easier. I never have to sign in manually, nor does my wife. It just works. I can use my voice to control things in a meaningful way, and it works. I can control my entire living room with my voice. It's a powerful, yet natural feeling - and Sony can't compete on that level..
- As we've already discussed, critics have actually graded PS4 games higher than Xbox One games over the past 14 months. They have done so with console exclusives as well as multiplatform titles. I get what you're trying to say but you need to find a different, more appropriate choice of words here.
- "It's a better service." I think you forgot to mention price and free games when comparing the services. PSN has consistently beaten Gold in these two areas which I hear are very important to the consumer.
- "It frees up resources on the console". This may be true but the console in question is less powerful to begin with.
- Sony can't compete with Kinect? No one wants Kinect. It's a losing proposition which is why support on all sides for the device has dried up.
I love what we've got.
The future of Xbox is bright, and from what I'm seeing from Sony - I like our odds. ;-)
It's funny. By my estimations, about 40 - 50% of your post was spot on. The Xbox One does hold some advantages over the PS4 but you're clearly missing the point. We could get into the minutia of specifics that don't hold much sway with the public but what does it all really boil down to?
Who has the better first party? Sony.
Who has the better second party support? Sony.
Who has better relations with 3rd parties? Sony.
Who has better indie support? Sony.
I think the majority of core gamers would take the above over Kinect voice control, but that could just be me.
