They did mention the cloud being used for dedicated servers like half a dozen times during the conference. I consider that tech talk, yet they cloud for graphics wasn't mentioned.

Ok. I remember them saying dedicated servers for Halo..other than that I didn't really notice. Then again, I wasn't waiting for news on the Cloud. I was waiting for the possibilty of one of my wishlist games to appear.

This game is going to be so good.

I am actually shcked at how many Indie games have my interest this gen. The Awesome Below, Inside, Oris and the forest, and then the mega No Mans Sky. 4 may seem like a small number, but that is like a 70% rise over all of last gens indie tries.

I've noticed that Microsoft didn't even mention the cloud for improving graphics during their press conference. What happened to that?

We saw a glimpse of what cloud can provide, but I think next E3, 2015, will be when we'll see a lot more. Cloud isn't only graphics, I think it will be more about physics, destruction, weather effects etc.

OK just watched E3 I have one question. Does anyone know if there's a sperm bank around Evansville IN? Because I don't know how in the world I'm going to afford just the exclusives coming up!

Just saw the TV advert for the new sku price point, and lolz. The whole advert is what Kinect does.

I really enjoyed most of E3, except for EA, but one thing i have really noticed and that is that for me no Xbox One game (so far) looks as impressive, photorealistic, amazing as a The Order or Bloodborne (those screenshots are crazy) and if Naughty Dog truly gets Uncharted 4 looking like that during gameplay.....jesus. But....of course we have not seen a thing of Microsoft's flagship titles, like Gears of War or Halo 5. And the other brand new titles...it was all CG. But i can't lie..i am a Xbox gamer first and foremost (will buy em all though) and i would have loved to see a X1 game looking as good as The Order and or Bloodborne.

@ MosquitoSmasher: offtopic - I think the above statements should have been in the Xbox One vs ps4 thread.
here's my opinion
The Bloodborne vids was cgi and the screenshots are bullshots, sony are expert at this, lots of cgi, we knew thar before the show.

but plz lz take a look at theBloodborne gameplay:

I'm not impressed. Graphics looks good but not fantastic, few characters on screen and animation looks very last gen, or even the gen before that.
RYSE, a 1 gen game, is stil a lot more impressive for me.

Now back to Xbox One :)

It actually doesn't look bad. Just a few bland textures and bad frame rate dips, never change, FromSoft.

You got a good eye. This early build can drop to 10-15 fps.

From what I’ve seen, it sets the bar very high for itself, although it’s a game that is quite clearly a long way off being shown in a broader context. The part of the game I saw suffered from a horrendous framerate, which, contrary to other reports, is being refined: the rep demoing the game insisted that the framerate issues would be ironed out. They should be, because they often dipped to around 10-15 fps.

Actually, there are parts of the "Cgi vid" that are not CGI. Like where he has the torch and going through the tunnel. Also, that gameplay vid is terrible quality. Also, screenshots for pretty much every game are bullshots.

I hear ya, but it seems the early batches of indie games are more like XBLA/PSN quality games with some budget and talented manpower. Unlike XBLIG quality where most weren't even worth $1 and half of them looked like circa 1999 quality.

I'm sure at some point the indie batches will include such great titles as "TV Colour Calibrator", "Xbox Controller Button and Rumble Tester", and the 24th version of "Zombie Tower Defence XXX".

To be fair, that was shot off screen so the quality isn't going to hold up. I do like the art style/aesthetic of this game as it gives me a Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust vibe. I'm more concerned with the little slice of gameplay that I saw in that video. The animations weren't particularly good and the combat seemed pretty "clunky", but again this was a short video shot off screen.

None of that is a bad thing in my book. Honestly, I kind of want indie games to just be that. Would love if MS got a new XBLIG going. Keep it the same as before I say. People can say what they want, but I enjoyed many a good and cheap gaming via those games.

Bloodborne looks great despite taken off screen! Sorry, but that is the truth.

So....why are we talking about BB in the Xbox thread again?

At any rate, since E3 is pretty much over, what are your guys retail pre-order lists for this year/early next looking like for X1?

Preordered:
  • Halo: MCC
  • Sunset Overdrive
  • Forza Horizon
Planned Preorders:
  • Ass Creed Unity
  • Batman: AK
  • Witcher 3
Maybes (will prob get 1-3 of these):
  • Evolve
  • Dragon Age Inquisition
  • Destiny
  • CoD: AW
  • BF: Hardline
  • Far Cry 4
I'll also be getting some DL titles like Ori, Inside, Below and maybe a few others.

I don't preorder anymore, especially since I'm only doing digital. But I plan to pick up:

Halo: MCC
Sunset Overdrive
KI Season 2
Ori
Inside
Dragon Age Inquisition
Fable Legends beta
Evolve is likely
I'm undecided on Destiny at the moment

Below won't make this year. Several games I'll use Gamefly for:

AC: Unity
Metro Redux
Alien Isolation
Shadow of Mordor
The Evil Within

I just think the game is waaay overhyped right now, and that off-screen footage was average-looking with clunky looking animation and control. If that is what people are basing their hype on, then I don't know what to say. I'll put it down to looking for a reason to claim a killer app. It's certainly based more in potential than solid info. I'm sure it will improve because it's early yet, but that is not even close to mind-blowing.

I hope pre-order will soon be available at Xbox games

My list is

  • Halo: MCC
  • Sunset Overdrive
  • Forza Horizon 2
  • Protect cars
  • Lego Batman 3
  • Destiny
  • Cod aw

I agree. This game is in the same boat as Scalebound. The game has potential to turn out awesome.

So The Division truly is Xbox One footage there then? Cause most of the time during E3 it's all PC footage. Arkham Knight was confirmed to be PC.

I have no comments on the gameplay. Too little to comments. I am just saying it looks good. I find it hard that anyone to say otherwise.

Not sure...it's like you can't be sure until it's almost out exactly what it's going to look like. That QB and Halo 5 top my 2015 list so far.

You can never be completely sure, but the preview builds (everything I've watched from E3 coverage demoing) for the Division, Witcher 3, Dragon Age Inquisition, and AC: Unity have all been Xbox builds as they have all included the Xbox button prompts while playing. I haven't watched any Evolve footage yet, but my guess is that it is also Xbox footage seeing how it gets content first.
