Yeah man I pretty much sat on it all day that summer - I didn't have a life lol. And that place was buzzing so it was easy to rack up the posts.500 posts a day?
Wow, that's crazy. I don't think I've ever posted more than 20, maybe 30 times in a day. But of course, you're talking OTL, which is pretty much stream of consciousness. I guess you could rack up 500 posts if you got in a groove.
Well the OTL in those days was much different than anything here. Lots of one word posts and inside jokes that would rack up posts quick. But yeah, looking back on it now a lot of the OTL was just glorified spam
Now that I think about it, it may have been closer to like 150 a day, but it was definitely at least 500 a week. I know because I went from like 8,000 posts to close to 14,000 posts that summer. But 500 a day would have put me well over that.
When he found out the new consoles wouldn't be more powerful than PC hardware releasing in the same timeframe he couldn't take it anymore and said f*** it.

Yeah but in reality I'd post a few posts in a minute. Then nothing, then later on quite a few posts. There would be times when my name would show up in the last poster column going down almost the entire page. The thing is, the OTL was so busy back then that it wouldn't stay like that for long.That's still one every 10 minutes over a full 24 hour period.
I know. I remember spoiling someone's wall of comments and them getting riled at me once. I actually had no idea I'd done it..must have been late one night..going back to when I was new there (07?).
I like the new OTL here because it's getting more active than it was when it was dying a death at TXB..but it does feel very sensible...not sure I approve.

Yeah I'm not used to an "OTL" being sensible. I was in TXB OTL from like 06 to 08, then took a year off and came back that summer of 09, then stopped posting until right before Union was created. Quite a shocker in what happened in my absence. That place needed me and I let it down!
