Major Nelson posts about 10 to 15 digital titles releasing every week. The reason they have been releasing more games than Sony now is because many of the games they are releasing are already out on PS4.

Couldn't one argue that indies mattered more early on when the PS4 and XBO were trying to distinguish themselves from one another? I mean, there was a point when the best games on each console were multiplatform games (ie GTA V, Diablo III, Battlefield 4, Dragon Age etc...)
Additionally, now that both machines are full steam ahead, the importance of old games most of us have already played to our hearts content diminishes greatly considering we're not starving for new games like we were back during the launch windows.

Nah, you've got hold of a BS statistic. The list I linked includes digital titles. That list shows Sony having released more than 7 [edit: 5 actually; I miscounted Xbox as having 6, but actually it has 8] times as many console exclusive games as MS this year.
Of course it's possible that the list I linked isn't complete. These lists are often missing some games. Feel free to check other lists. But you'll have to find 50+ MS console exclusives that aren't on the list, and none missing on the Sony side, to even break even.
Sony has been putting out more games than MS this entire generation. It doesn't pass the common sense test, to think that they've suddenly reversed that pattern, in the first part of 2017. If anything, it's gotten more lopsided.

It's still a pissing contest. It's comparing 90 different items at an all you can eat buffet to 100 when most of the main course items are the exact same. At that point, the quality of the service should be the determining factor.
Sony's buffet includes some exclusive international foods. If you're into that, by all means attend Sony's buffet. If you're not, go to the one your friends will be at or whichever one has the best wait staff.

BC is great but the same people telling you here how its the greatest thing ever and look how many games the X1 has were probably the same ones a couple years ago telling you how the PS4 lineup was bad because remasters and indies don't count.
The same people telling everyone that without free trade and global markets, the world economy would collapse are now saying to close borders and tell every country to go F themselves because Trump decided to run as a Republican. People often speak out of both sides of their mouth and are hypocrites to support their home team.
Whatever the leaders of their favorite piece of plastic say, average gamer will support. Whatever strengths their favorite piece of plastic has is most important. Whatever weaknesses their piece of plastic has is not important. This is why the talking points have reversed from the start of this gen.
Hopefully in this forum, people can be a bit more open minded and honest because it's more interesting conversation than talking to brain washed trolls.
The truth is all this stuff counts to someone. If it didn't, these for profit businesses wouldn't support them.
All you have to do is look at PlayStation.com and Xbox.com to see how the game gap has decreased. I am on both every week. Sony at one point was like 600 ahead. Now it's 1100 vs 1500 (without BC).
No it doesn't. Xbox gamers have plenty to play. 3rd party, exclusives, indies AND BC titles. Come on man. You guys try so desperately to spin anything Xbox related into a negative - even BC. If it isn't on PlayStation, it's ass. As soon as something Xbox comes over the PS, suddenly its all good. The s*** is fuking ridiculous. Its been a pattern since the beginning of this gen - not one that's been lost on me. Just like if Gears, Halo or Forza came over to PS, you'd be shouting that s*** from the roof tops. I'm not even sure Sony fans love Playstation as much as they claim they do. I think you love the idea of PlayStation being great (which is it is, but not to the tune Sony fans claim it to be.) but its hating and bickering about its competition you like more. Being a Sony fan just gives you a stage to bash on the competition - not so much you just love PS4/ Pro. Its like you guys have insecurity issues or something. When you're truly happy with what you have - you don't waste time bashing its competition. That's being fake or a fraud. That's insecurity. Every one of us knows that if PS had BC like MS has BC and of the same quality, there would be a VERY DIFFERENT narrative about this subject.
Its not the fact that you don't want true BC - you do. Its just on Sony's console you had to adapt to not having true BC and have accepted it.

So much irony in this post. PS gamers couldn't give a s*** about BC because they have plenty of new games to play. Yeah, it would be awesome to have true BC so we could play PS3 games on our PS4 but who cares. The better games get remastered anyway. If i want to play the Uncharted trilogy, i can. If i want to play God of War 3, i can. Last of Us? Got it. Are we supposed to be jealous that you can play Doritos Crash Course on your Xbox One or something?

Nobody cares about power, and nobody sure as hell cares about BC to the point that you and others try and hype it up. All while bashing PS Now. Seriously, i don't think anymore really cares except you guys. When the official Xbox Twitter asks fans what new games they want to see and 90% of the response is Black Ops 2 BC that tells you all you need to know.
Well, I was doing a tally, and it doesn't make sense to count games that appear on both consoles -- that part is going to be a wash, a waste of time to count. To figure out which has more, you look at the games that appear on PS or Xbox but not on the other. If MS released 10% more games in 2017, you'd see that reflected in the exclusives count. Instead, it's 45 PS vs. 7 Xbox.
The stat is BS. We've got no link, no source, no evidence, just the word of some unnamed guy on some unnamed forum. I linked to evidence that shows the opposite. You're free to check similar links to games released in 2017. I'm confident they'll all say the same thing. If not, I'll eat a bug.
But hey, you're free to believe MS released more games this year than Sony, if you like. No skin off my nose (whatever that means). I don't want to get into playing Bullsh*t Man around here anyhow. It'd be a full time job, and I've already got one of those.

PS1/PS2 BC didn't count when the PS3 can play 99 percent of it from the start. So yeah.

BLOPS #2 getting love years after its release DEFINITELY tells me something indeed. People really liked that game, and they love it even more on Xbox One - probably due to improved controller, live features, chat, game DVR functions etc. Come on, TD. You can do better than that. They've become worse than the PC Master Race. Never thought that was possible. What happened to Sony Defense Force? They took that s*** to the moon and back. Stay defensive because a few overzealous PS fans rubbed in 1080p after two generations of Xbox fans trashing PS consoles for being underpowered.
Well, to be fair, there's plenty of hypocrisy on both sides. You hear more of the Xbot hypocrisy here, because this forum has more Xbots. And Xbots tend to be more disgruntled this generation, sore that they're getting beat, and somewhat desperate for anything that might prove to be an advantage over the competition (after so many things being crossed off that chalkboard).
They've got it in hardware now -- something solid and quantifiable -- and they're running with it, hard. Can't blame them. It's been tough being an Xbot this gen. They smell revenge, a chance to turn the tables. Their mouths are watering. (edit: see post that follows for example)

I'm going to make a prediction. I'm betting Scorpio will will indeed be the defacto console when it releases due to its power. It's going to sell a plethora of units and close the gap in the US and UK at the very least. I'm also betting there will be more AAA exclusives that will become the norm on Xbox from here on out. Good to great ones that coincide with Gears, Halo, Forza and BC. I'm also betting BC will be an even much bigger deal simply because of Scorpio - morseo than it is on Xbox One. And finally, I'm betting Sony will feel the pressure from Scorpio sales, caught unaware by console sold from Microsofts hardware and software announcements. In my opinion, I believe Microsoft has hit the nail on the head this go 'round and it'll show - shockingly to some. Until then, I hear M. Night is casting for SPLIT 2. Don't say I never did anything for ya.
Yeah, sometimes i have to remind myself where i am. I used to dislike NeoGAF for the same reasons, many hardcore PS fans that just can't be reasoned with over there but the more i read the more i understood. They've been taking s*** for generations, even while PS has been whooping ass. So i don't blame them for clapping back. Same deal at PSU, no matter what good Sony news there was, there was always someone to piss in our cereal.
I don't get it. PS fans have been saying it's all about the games for 3 generations. All Xbox fans had to cling to was that they had the more powerful console. Tables turned this gen and they're salty. When you lose every battleground, it is what it is. I'd be upset too. I just don't understand where the whole SDF term came from when clearly it's Xbox fans that are the most defensive. You don't have as many games as PS gamers have. That's a fact. Who cares, there's plenty to play on both consoles - but it's a fact nonetheless. Get over it.
We are 3.5 years into this generation, why are people even still talking about BC? I've played all of the games from last gen I wanted to play and I played many of them more than once. I already said before it's a nice bonus to have if you can have it but it's not something that makes a big deal to me, especially this far into a generation. I have over 50 games loaded on my PS4, I'm not hurting for things to play.
With Xbox One, BC games typically have visual improvements, better controller, better online functionality, better chat and group options, better DVR screenshot and recording functions etc. It's not just the games themselves. There are many benefits to BC on X1 - not just the games exclusively.
