Nope. Unless it is a mission of some sort.

Time to get the hunting rifle out and stalk some prey.

I didn’t see any specific mission. There are a couple of survivor camps around but they are friendly when I check their status. Time for a hunt so.

I cam across a vendor selling a .50cal anti material with a silencer. 1000 influence. Very expensive. I’ve saving 3500 for the big base at the moment.

I just found a whole slew of thermite grenades so I thought I'd use them on a plague heart. Took all of a few seconds to take it down with those babies. Also the zombies are attracted to the bright light these grenades give off. It's funny watching them walk right into a bright pretty flame.

It is mostly a cosmetic thing, a luxury. but does offer some game-play advantages, like stronger vehicles or can make the car quieter for 1 hour, or like with mine above you can get larger fuel capacity. So if you have the spare slot and your community is in a good place, then yeah, why not.

I don't get the one hour time limit, it would make it more appealing to me to build things if we got permanent benefits from it. Being that cars you can drive are so scarce it'd be nice to have some lasting upgrades.

This is proof that some of these breakdowns are too limited in scope, the framerate is very unstable on the One X and I've had plenty of times where I could tell it dropped below 20. I didn't watch the video I just read his write up about it but he made it sound like it only drops into the high 20's from time to time. I had my base running in slide show mode because the zombie bodies piled up after a few sieges and the console couldn't handle the load of all those characters on screen at once. Also the LOD is pretty bad when it comes to things like grass etc, in the write up he says that stuff is much improved over the base console, if that's the case than the stuff must be drawing in behind you as you walk passed it on the base console because it fills in around 5-10 feet in front of you on the One X.

I know he says it's using a dynamic resolution but I have a hard time believing it's ever actually 4K, maybe if that awful blur effect was turned off it would be different but the game really doesn't look sharp like a 4K game should.

Man, you're having a helluva time.

Never said fun can't be had with the game, I've put plenty of hours into it already although I am starting to spend less time with it. Been going back and playing Oblivion again and that's a time sink.

Same as they were before, still seems more technically polished than SoD2 and the fact that the grass draw in is better on a game that was designed to run on hardware that old says something. Of course the structures popping up in Oblivion is another story :)

I hated the combat in Oblivion. Combat better in SoD2

If you are prone to anxiety in games, damn if this game doesn't do its best to trigger it. I swear my little community is on the brink.

My main died and turned into a zed. At nighttime the herd attacked our base, the church on the hill. I read she died in the left corner and when I went to find her she had turned already.

I just couldn't get it to work out at the second base. The doc left and s*** fell apart. The morale was constantly miserable/ hopeless and I have been struggling with the shortages in ammo and medicine.

I'm gonna start a new game and only help enclaves instead of randoms. The community went from "everything is fine..but we need more beds" to people telling other to shut up and the doc feeling underappreciated.

But that's the beauty of it. Although that sucks, you gotta figure out how are you going to adapt and work/fight your way through it.

At least you can fight back against those, a disappearing HUD, aiming reticle and missing inventory are harder to overcome :p

Well, to be honest, I wouldn’t know as I haven’t experienced that yet.

That is something you can add to any car, it isn't part of the customisation kit itself-- not the ones I have anyway.

It is amazing how few bugs I have actually come across in my 28 hours of game time(don't judge). Going by reviews that were based on barely double figure hours one would have expected a s***-show, but all I have had so far is my HUD flicker, the camera go a little weird on character and sometimes the door looks open but is closed. That is it.

Even after about 7 hours of co-op, the worst thing I have come across is lag...and even that is mostly when driving.

I lost my first survivor last night. She was a doctor and as far as I could tell a very nice lady. But things went to sh!t really quickly and the chick just wasn't fast enough to escape the house full of plague zombies as we tried to destroy its heart. If she had followed me out the window I think she would still be alive. We will mourn her but we have to move on. Seriously, now my group is depressed so I'll have to figure out how to lift their spirits. I was planning a move from the starter base but that's put on hold for the sake of the group.

Game is so much fun.

I lost another survivor too. I was doing a plague Heart and a freakin Juggernaut turned up. Poor Bryant got torn apart...on the bright side, my food issue has eased a little:grin:

Yeah, lost my first community member to some hostiles last night. He got taken out by two dudes. I was so pissed. I ran back over the hill, grabbed the truck, and ran both of them over multiple times.

I had an enclave demand Ammo from me, so I went over and said no. They said ''you better leave while we still let you'' so I just stood there, then they attacked  What a silly mistake that was, I pulled out my 50 cal modified anti-aircraft gun and laid waste to them in seconds :laugh:

These people just don't get the message. The Wanderers are not to be messed with.

Went to help another group take out a heart and had to use my leader.

Things got nasty fast and he got infected(cured him) and their leader got turned.

It was that Damn bloater that screwed things up for us but it was fun.

Yeah, I hate the bloater..more than the juggernaut or feral. He can really f*** things up in tight spaces.

Where and how did you get the modified anti-aircraft gun?
