Still can't decide if this is their MMO game or not.
It says "nobody survives alone" and then the flare goes up. That could be another gamer settlement or could just be A.I
Yeah. Apparently it's online co op at least.
"The #1 request our fans had from State of Decay was, 'Give me co-op multiplayer,'" Strain said. "[So we said,] 'Let's give our fans exactly what they want.' So we took a couple of steps back and changed direction and that's what State of Decay 2 is."
When development first began on the sequel, however, the game apparently did resemble its "Class4"-codename roots; Undead Labs did start down the MMO road. "It was a server-hosted, online world," Strain said, "with the business models that go along with that: subscriptions [or] free-to-play."
He elaborated on the nature of the co-op play: "This is not a session-based experience. It's drop-in/drop-out. They key thing that I want everybody to know is, it doesn't require you to be online. We've designed it very much with the intention of it being the easiest, most convenient type of multiplayer you can imagine."
It's awesome and the one version has the dlc plus it runs better
Better than the Dead Island series?
Better than the Dead Islan series?
Dying Light vs. State of Decay? Winner is?
day one for me. Bought the 360 version and the X1 version and played the s*** out of them both. The game is easily one of the best zombie survival games ever made. The mechanics just make it so engaging.
I predict this will be one of the best exclusives on the Xbox One. The co-op portion should make it even better.
I really wish this had the polish/presentation/animation of that Days Gone demo. Would have taken it to another level.
This is MS's issue, imo. Great gameplay with passable but underwhelming visuals/atmosphere. Sony has the visuals/presentation nailed, but the pure gameplay (while quite adequate) is behind the MS staples.Yeah I really believe this has the potential to be a cornerstone franchise and would like to see MS work with this studio to keep enhancing the visual quality of the game.
Without substance, beauty is the arbiter of nothingness. I'd rather be full than hungry. This is MS's issue, imo. Great gameplay with passable but underwhelming visuals/atmosphere. Sony has the visuals/presentation nailed, but the pure gameplay (while quite adequate) is behind the MS staples.
Sony just has the edge on presentation, and that has nothing to do with tech, even. That said, I think it's underestimated how much impact presentation has.
Sure, but let's not kid ourselves, the game would be even more with incredible visuals/animation/atmoshpere. Immersion can't be understated, imoWithout substance, beauty is the arbiter of nothingness. I'd rather be full than hungry.
Sure, everything has its place. I would submit that gameplay and audio are more important to immersion, however.Sure, but let's not kid ourselves, the game would be even more with incredible visuals/animation/atmoshpere. Immersion can't be understated, imo
