I'd like to see Bungie work on a new Killzone or Resistance.
Bungie said there won’t be a destiny 3, just another trilogy of dlc for destiny 2.
Instead of building Destiny 3, Bungie is making Destiny 2 the all-encompassing MMO it's wanted for years

Destiny 3 got put off temporarily to release more D2 content.
Destiny 2 has if I'm not mistaken 2 more major expansions.
I can't imagine them paying for Bungie and having them work on Killzone or Resistance. Nor do I see Bungie being interested in being under the Sony umbrella and developing Sony's IP. More likely we see a completely new IP or a reboot of Marathon.
Recent years gameplay wise they smoke Craptivision.
At some point, poeple need to know all these game devs are nassistic bullshiiter. Bungie claimed not wanting to work on only one game franchise, & be independence as reason to leave MS, only to be bought by Activision to make ONLY one game franchise. The made the same claim again to leave Activision, only to be bought again by a big firm.

Fanboys yea, it shouldn't make a difference to your average PS gamer, except we'll get more cinematic cutscenes.

I buy PlayStation because I want games that will only be on PlayStation.
Same for Nintendo and XB.
Unfortunately Xbox doesn't have actual exclusives but I still buy Xbox to play Xbox games.
No point in owning multiple gaming devices if they don't have exclusives.
The Bungie purchase is obviously to help work on the lack of multiplayer.
Anything Geoff or Grubb or any " Insiders" say is them throwing darts at a wall and seeing what sticks. NOBODY, saw or reported the Bethesda deal before it was announced. Same with Activision and Bungie.
Now its just a game of being just vague enough to get people to listen and believe you're credible enough so you can claim victory IF something happens.
Cause let's be real, if any of them really knew insider info ( in a non-controlled leak situation) and leaked it, it would be the last leak of their career. ( ex. See Pokemon Sword and Shield leak)

Due to the nature of my job, I've been involved on both the early review and onboarding of acquired companies. The scale of our purchases don't even come close to any of these mentioned gaming acquisitions. Even at this considerably smaller scale, we have to sign a variety of nondisclosure agreements, and the documents and information shared between companies is extremely locked down to a select group.
Any true "insider" telling a dips*** pseudo-journalist actual inside information about acquisitions would be committing career suicide, be subject to all sorts of legal ramifications and almost guaranteed lawsuits, and may potentially be committing a crime.
For additional detail, the $18.4b figure was what they mentioned for Sony investments, which included entertainment and videogames, prior to the $3.6b they spent on Bungie, and is over a three year period.
