I've seen the AI in Titanfall...I'd take "normal" AI any day. The AI in Titanfall borderlines on simulating the adverse effects of not having a functional brain. Not that it matters any AI that's present in a online game is by definition "cloud" powered if the AI resides on servers not on the local machine, unless the game is utilizing a host/client connection in which one console does all the syncing.

Destiny is a better example of "cloud" powered AI; all relevant information to include AI runtime is hosted on Bungie servers. Destiny's AI makes Titanfall's AI look like something a 5 year old programmed on an old school TI-82 during math class. Hell I've seen better AI in old school Star Wars dedicated server matches.

But really most of this is child's play compared to what is being done in the HPC/big data arena.

There’s a lot of action going on in a Titanfall multiplayer match, but not all of it is controlled by human players. Each team gets a group of computer-controlled teammates. Enemy fodder in the form of grunt AI means that less skilled players can keep up with everyone else.

The sad thing is, the AI in Titanfall, while intentionally dumbed down, is still better than the AI in Destiny in my experience.

Regardless of what's being stated, it's still not a good example of "great cloud based AI"; in fact it only furthers my point since the AI is intentionally dumb as rocks; so thanks for linking that I guess. As for your second statement, I highly doubt you'll find many who agree with your sentiment, but it's your opinion to make and I'm not here to try to convince you otherwise.

Thanks for sharing that with me. I have already found plenty of people that I have played with, as well as people on THIS forum that have stated the AI is dumb in Destiny. I of course am playing from personal experience with Destiny PS4 alpha, Destiny PS4 beta and Destiny Xbox One beta. (and of course playing the Titanfall alpha, Titanfall beta and Titanfall final.

Plenty of experience that is for sure.

But again, thanks thanks for sharing Ketto.

Nope, you sure don't. If you get time, read up on how Respawn is using the cloud technology with AI. It's a good read, and gives answers.

AI is dumb as **** and this is not changing. Decent AI in an mmo is something we may never see. In other words some N64 shooters like perfect dark had a better ai

The beautiful graphics, the sweet looking guns, and the perfect controls, thats it. Its just jarring seeing borderland type kills in this universe -_- AI are dumb as bricks, and its getting old pretty quickly (- the beta.)

That's the worst aspect of the game and I doubt it will get much better. The entire concept is designed around stupid enemies that require zero tactics to kill. Bosses will surely remain giant bullet sponges that go back and forth between a few scripted zones.

all you have to do is watch online vids.. guy enters a room and the AI doesn't activate until he has already taken 3-4 shots at them.

I have shot through windows at them inside buildings, and they just sit there until I go through the door. So I just sit behind the window, line up the sniper to their face, 1032xp instantly. BAM.

Cloud has been a non factor thus far as games without the cloud have better AI,Match making and visuals(which look worse then some last gen games) with the exception of Forza 5 I can't speak on but believe what people here have said good about it.

Yeah, the AI is intended to be the worst in order for crappy players to catch up, goes in line with what everyone else is saying: TF's AI are dumb.

Halo does stuff like that as well.
It still doesn't change the fact that Destiny's AI dances around the *cough* so called(no i don't believe em) cloud based AI in Titanfall.

Forza 5 is the only game that can be called taking advantage of the Cloud IMO. Those drivatars are awesome (especially when they help you gain credits to use).

i will see for myself tonight hopefully when I play.. but from everything I have seen, it is literally terribly programmed AI.

But the AI is dumb on purpose...so actually, the AI is genius.
