Official Thread The Division v. 2

I had a lot of fun with this game and was addicted to it for months. I'll need to do some research to see if there is new content to play. I don't think it'll be worth it to me to redownload the game if all there is are the same missions I already went through hundreds of times before. Then again, new gear sets and weapons could spice up old content so maybe I'm wrong about replayability for me.

The last few weeks before the XSX came out I went back to it, since I got the expansion on sale. WONY was pretty good, and there's like a 100 floor skyscraper thing you can do, which I got into the 20s or 30s on. It was good, but I don't have the pull to go back to it either. If you haven't played warlords that might be worth it for the story, though.

OMG, you just brought forth memories of my epic grind for the WONY weapons which was fun but helped burn me out because upon release the drop rates were so stingy. I stopped playing before Skyscraper came out.

I'm sure there's been buffs/nerfs but I had a really powerful DPS build like most and by the end of my time with the game I was steamrolling through content so long as I had a team with decent builds. I also remember having a super armor regen tank build that laughed at bullets which was fun for a while but got boring.

I also remember that the one weapon I was unable to get was the Eagle Bearer assault rifle which at the time was only attainable by completing the Raid of which there's no matchmaking which locked me out of that piece of content. I'm getting frustrated just thinking about it, lol.

Did the pro not have the volumetric fog? Agree on lazy, but it's an old game. Hard to ask for more. It's still a looker though.
Don't remember but I do remember Xbox One X looking better and being true 4K.
I also remember the PC looking better at 3K/1800p looking better than both.(I ran it that way maxed details/60fps)
Yes I own it on all 3 but only play the worst looking version now unless they add cross save.

They made such of a mess of the original end game content that once I got annoyed enough to stop playing it, I never went back. Can't see that changing now at this point either.

Could have been great, but they ignored their community.

Look, I'm no technical guy by any stretch. But the PS5 is already proving itself to be plenty capable. It seems like some older game devs are taking what looks to me to be a quicker and easier path to upgrade/update their games for new hardware. And so we see some games with a lower resolution so resources can be allocated elsewhere like for increased framerate or environmental effects. There aren't that many released games built from the ground up for XSX/PS5 hardware yet. So these older gen games receiving upgrades doesn't really tell us much about "New Gen" hardware.

What they NEED to do is fix those jarring LOD shifts on the trees in game. It's always been a sore spot for me and completely baffling how it's got to be the worst offender.

The last mission in the Warlords DLC, in the Division 2, is whooping my ass. May be the only thing I've encountered in the game that I probably can't do solo. Basically helicopters keep bringing in enemies like a airborne version of a spawn closet while trying to do a task. 😡

I had difficulties with it for a while; I think it took me like five or six attempts (and most of those went several minutes). Having my turrets hacked was a major disruption.
