Christ I feel like I never really recovered from 2008. I got into truck driving and I can't get out of it. I really don't want to still be doing this crap in my 50s or even beyond.
At least I'm making money in my current job, but it's frustrating trying to make some long term plans. There has already been slow downs in Trucking that seems like a bad sign possibly related to the Trade War.

She does have a lot of establishment support so they'll probably keep donating just in case Biden falls and they want someone as a back up. I do hope she drops out though, doing that badly in her home state where she was actually leading not too long ago is really bad.

To an extend I agree but look at someone like Bernie. He's been talking about the same things for decades. He isn't just taking whatever positions are politically convenient.

That's a fair point, but there's a big difference in flip flopping on a position over a year or two and doing it over decades. Plus, what Biden said back then was a big nothing burger. It only stands out looking through the lens of many decades later. I mean there's people in this thread who weren't even alive when those words were spoken. I didn't look up the year but I'm guessing I was a little kid.

I don't think it really applies here. When you are on the wrong side of an issue it matters. Even if most people would have been on the wrong side.
The argument that he has been around for a long time so of course there will be some mistakes is fair to say but he can't use his experience as a plus and pretend any missteps along the way don't count.
People's stances can change. Looking at my Facebook memories, I was staunchly against Al Gore and the climate change people. As time went on, I saw more data, and I realized that my way of thinking was naive, short sighted, and carried bias. So, for me to have felt that way 12 years ago'ish, and to have done a complete 180 on it, I can think that someone 20, 30, 40 years ago could do the same.
I was a hardcore Republican through Reagan and even Bush Sr. It took Bill Clinton to show me that Democrats weren't the crazy people they were made out to be, and eventually W Bush really showed me what the once great GOP had become.

That's the only CA poll I see where Yang beats her on 538. Yang's problem is he is an Internet star with younger voters who are also the least reliable voting bloc.
If you don't like him now, that's perfectly fine. Don't dislike him because he didn't have a view on drugs back in the 80s that people didn't start having until the last few years.

His policy is pretty clear nowadays: he helped Barack with all the good things and Barack did all the bad things.
This is the problem with the internet. We just clicked on this video today. Is he going to need to re-explain it every single time the video gets a hit? That's exactly how we end up with nobody hosting the Oscars in our current SJW climate. Maybe he already has? Or maybe nobody's asked him? I honestly don't know.

My point is be careful where you set the bar, because I think you're setting it somewhere we don't want it to be. Obama was against gay marriage in 2008. Should we never mention him ever again? That's the danger of cancel culture.

Actually its the exact opposite. You are equating it to that. This is normal politics before Trump lowered everyone's standards. 30 years ago he ran for President and was forced to answer for his plagiarism. 14 years ago Howard Dean blew up for yelling Byahhhh. Explaining a past position is hardly anything outrageous. And its just one video talking about it. Big whoop.
