I don't know how anyone else truly in the middle cannot see right through Trump's agenda by now. It is true however, that people never cease to amaze me. Still, to me, you're either in the cult or you aren't. I consider myself pretty middle, although not the past 4 years. I supported W, which now seems WAY less controversial than it was then, especially in my circle of friends. I still stand by that what Bush Jr lacked in intelligence, he made up for in compassion. We now have a president with neither attribute... Only the ability to troll, and get his way at all cost. His dividing the country is the only thing that fuels his own gain. He is absolutely rotting this country from the inside-out. If he is forcing everyone to take sides, I will stand up against him. He's literally called for civil war in his tweets. He doesn't scare me. The fact that he somehow has supporters does scare me though. It scares me for the future of this country.

Trump reminds me a lot of Financial Guru / Cult Lunatics.

One of the more benign and dismissed for example being Tai Lopez. I believe he was caught using Rented Lamborghinis or properties he didn't own. While I do think Trump really is wealthy, I suspect he's exagerrating it almost as much. He might also be using presidential status to shield this reality.

Or flat out Bullsh;t artists like Kevin Trudeau.

I guess what I'm getting at is I wonder if cut-throat capitalism has contributed to an emergence of an almost uniquely American personality disorder and just calling it sociopath is inadequate. Unfortunately, in this case by a fluke one has been elected to the highest office.

I am no W fan but at least he wouldn't be fanning the flames right now. Trump either has no interest in leading or no ability to do so.

We would be better off with anybody else right now Republican or Democrat. The fact that even though he has been a disaster the past few months you know there is nothing he could do or say that would prevent him from getting 42-45% of the vote at a minimum. How does the country ever fix that kind of division?

I've seen a few local Republicans running ads for their primaries and they are hitting the "Trump endorses me" point hard. You'd think if they thought Trump would hurt them they would play that down a bit, but they are going full on the Trump message. It is really noticeable (they could just not talk Trump in their own ad). They must feel Trump helps them among Republicans which isn't a good sign.
