If there was ever a time for violent riots it will be if they try to push through an appointment. You take any republican that may loose their seat and the country would need to overwhelm their state with protest. It needs to be made clear this is a decision for the next president. Lord help if its Trump. Say goodbye to women's reproductive rights, social security & Medicare if they allow Trump or the senate to appoint another justice. Biden needs to start hammering this message now!!!!!!! Scare the old fu*ks into voting Democrat.

Say goodbye to Democracy if he gets another one and the inevitable court battles start after the election

I think it better suits Trump to keep the seat open until after inauguration day. If they cram a nomination through, it's going to get violent.

Just a really sad thing overall. Sad for the passing of someone really amazing, and this of course opens the door for the right to put a stranglehold on the court.

Even if we vote Trump out, this court will live with us for decades.

The other thing Trump could do is hold off on the court appointee and use it as a carrot for the right. Maybe he uses that to swing some conservative but on the fence votes, knowing that the swing on the court is so important.

Its almost entirely on whether they think it hurts them in November. You can't rely on someone like Lindsay Graham to stay true to his word or Romney to do the right thing. Its about whether someone like Susan Collins is willing to end her reelection bid to vote yes because she would be 100% done.

And if they do push through is Biden willing to threaten to end the filibuster and pack the court? And is he willing to go through with it? Because its the only acceptable answer at that point.

Never seen much need for owning a firearm.

I would be lying if I said I was not looking for training courses and shopping around for a pistol and a rifle.

I purchased a Socom 458 back when the pandemic started. I am not messing around with those wimpy ass AR's.

I've never really thought about owning a gun until the past few years. I've never been anti-gun, but never felt I needed one. If someone breaks in my house, I'll bash them with a 9 iron. Now though, I see civil unrest becoming normal.

I can totally see myself at least getting a pistol and maybe a shotgun when all this covid stuff breaks.

If republicans push a nominee through, taking every branch is 100% necessary. With dems in charge, one of their very first initiatives should be expanding the supreme court and stack it. Also, they need to look into setting term limits for the SC. This November is, without a doubt, the most important we have ever faced, and hopefully ever will.
