Official Thread The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild (Wii U/Switch)

I was thinking that also, but then I figure we can't really expect a price drop anytime soon (maybe the game for $10 less but that's about it), so why not just get it now. Worst case scenario is I just sell it.
But if the virtual console is up and running anytime soon, that would be a huge bonus.
Oh, I wasn't going to wait for a price drop. I just wanted to see how many other titles will be announced. By E3, hopefully, we'll see some more titles being announced for it and I'll feel better about the purchase.

Have there been any reviews of the Wii U version of the game yet?

No. Some think it's a bit messy others belive it shows the lack of jump the Switch version offers.

Bit funny seeing reviews letting it off for frame rate issues.

3 very early impressions. In the 1st 30 minutes you can telll:

1. This game is like nothing you have ever played before.
2. It is going to be a massive time sink filled with marathon sessions.
3. Nintendo is back and they have delivered. This is going to be YUGE!

looks a very cool, open world sand box game. I read its wayyyyyy bigger than skyrim re map size and looks like a lot of gameplay is down to experimenting and trying out different methods to achieve a certain goal which looks like a lot of fun!

I still haven't finished fallout 4 and witcher 3 yet though

I'm still waiting on my delivery this is painful I feel like bob wiley in what about bob staring at the clock baby steps.

I saw the comparison Wii u/switch, not bad. If I wanted to buy a cheap Wii u, what do i need to play this? Seems many on eBay are being sold without the portable controller. Can I just buy the regular gamepad instead?

I read of you turn off the mini map, it increases performance.

Played it really quick. Initial impression is a crapload of performance issues. Massive slowdown often. System shows how under power it is. Art direction is great. Feels like there's a lot to do in the game.

I nailed a bokobin with the axe midair while he was jumping at me and he went flying backwards. It was completely animated for that to happen, a really nice touch.

The buttons on the controller being Y,X,B,A is really messing with me though.
