The official 'I don't know what this thread is about any longer,' thread.

I dig it. Ryse is cool, so is Peggle. Titanfall is stale.

I figured TF would get old quick. Did they add any new guns in the full game? There was limited choice in the guns selection for the beta.

Titanfall seems like a game that's about instant gratification, that makes you feel like you are good during the match even if you suck but once the round is over you see how poorly you really did, at least I've heard that a lot from people who played it anyway.

As far as X1 and DirectX12 didn't someone from MS say they have already been using some of the features that DX12 will bring?

Developers are already using the eSRAM to think otherwise is ludicrous. Why do people think that all these XB1 game are running from the DDR3? if they were they'd look a lot worse then they do now.

Yeah eSRAM isn't some advantage they have, it's a way to try to make up for slower main memory no matter what some others want us to believe. I doubt that if a dev was given the choice to design a console that they'd have gone with MS's set up over Sony's.

Like I said, it should have been F2P.

They are not getting the most out of it yet.

Titanfall is a game that can get old fast if that's all you play. Its more of a go to second game while you're taking a break from the main game holding your attention, which in my case is Dark Souls 2. I only play Titanfall for a few hours every couple of days, or when I get invites from friends who are on. I haven't gotten tired of it, because im not allowing myself to play it out.

For the record, I don't have a problem with the number of guns, or anything, but it does seem to me that Respawn could have done a better job of making you feel like you were playing towards something. Even if that something was weapon camo's, title cards, new player models for custom classes...just stuff like that. You know, made the game more customizable in general. Its something I wish they'd implement via update, or even DLC. I still love the game, but its current features are pretty bare bones.

The more I played TF, the more I realized how much it sucked. I was done with it pretty quick. And I'm a shooter fan...but it just really was all hype.

The more I play it, the more I enjoy it. I've never prestiged in COD but I love doing the challenges in this game. I'm nearly Gen 6 after one month. It's definitely more than just hype to this game. And yes, I know you're only giving your opinion. I'm doing the same.

TF for me was really fun for the first 2 weeks or so, now I haven't played it in 2 weeks. Got boring super fast.

I know...different goats for different folks.

For me, the game is a mp game only, and that's the part it lacks the most on....the mp aspect. For the amount of actual players on the map, there's simply not enough actual players. Wayyyyy too many brain dead AI kill the immersion for me, and you rarely see actual players until they're in Titans....and that's only because Titans are so large. I feel like I'm always playing a "training" mode of sorts with bots, with some actual players scattered about the map.
For me, personally, there's also way too many other negatives. For example, it's too easy to get a Titan. You just wait. You literally don't have to get any kills to get a Titan. That's cheap. Also, all matches end up the same. There's not really much variations. With other shooters, you have run and gunners to contend with, campers to contend with, far away snipers to contend with, etc. In TF, you have run and gunners and Titans. Then there's the weapons. For a game with limited weapons...most of the weapons really aren't all that viable. Hence why most people are using the same exact weapon. Oh, and way too much ammo. Zero thought to ammo conservation. What's the deal with that?

I know, it's just my opinion, and what I dislike about it is exactly what some people like about it....but for me personally, it just feels dumb.

Agreed, I think this game should be atleast a 10v10, but the problem is that the maps aren't big enough to support 10v10 Titan battles....regular human gun battles absolutely but not Titan battles.

I really couldn't disagree with you more, but I guess that's neither here nor there. As the player continues to expand on Generations I'm seeing lots of snipers, lots of camping and lots of people not using "that" gun. I'm getting killed by the Smart Pistol and the CAR nearly as much as the carbine when I play. Either way, if you prefer something more tactical like BF, then yeah, I can see like something that's more arcadey might not sit well with you.

Definitely not. There are plently of traffic jams at the start of Last Titan Standing.

I am kinda bored as are most on my friend list who haven't played it. The generation crap is worse then prestiging in COD.
My buddy might be buying it this weekend...if he does I will try and play it again.

I could disagree even more.

There's not lots of camping, that's bs. And if there are those camping, it proves my point....camping is so not viable in this game, that I don't even notice them camping.
Snipers, lol, no. I can count on my hands and feet how many times I've encountered snipers, and again, if there are snipers out there, they're so no viable, that they don't pose a threat, so it doesn't matter. In other shooters, snipers and campers are such a nuisance, that you're forced to change how you play, to either avoid them or hunt them down. No so the case in TF.
As for weapons, other than the main starting gun, the only other gun that you mostly see is the smart pistol. Sure, you see some others using other weapons, but it's rare...far from the norm.

And like I said, that's not even my biggest gripe, which is how rare you actually encounter live players versus stupid minions. On average, most people are getting like 4 pilot kills with a bunch of minion kills, with some good players maybe getting 8-10 pilot kills (and on rare occasions, more kills). I'm sorry, but I don't want to play a mp centric game where I'm bound to get not many kills on actual gamers.

Which goes back to what I said about Titans being easy to get. They could have increased player count, but only allow Titans based on either getting "x" amount of pilot kills or achieving certain objectives...and then, have a limit to how many titans on the map, which introduces a competitive race to be the first ones to get a titan.

My gameplay experience is not yours, so it most certainly is not bs and its quite rich of you say that. I can tell you for a fact that that as I get higher in the Gens, I'm coming across more and more of the things you seem to think either don't exist or maybe I'm lying about. I never got killed by that heavy sniper once until about a week and now I've died a few times from it. I've come across the most insane camping tactics in Last Titan Standing, hard Point and TDM, some effective, some really not effective. Less than 50% of the time I am dying from the carbine now. It's simple as that. I don't care if you believe me or not, but if you're going to generalize based on the amount of games you've played, I'm going to point these things out. I've probably played the game more than you at thing stage so chances are I'm drawing my points from more gameplay experience.

Edit: I should also add that the things which annoy you, don't bother me in the slightest either. I'll be playing this game for the rest of the year at least.

And I've just noticed the thread title and see we've dragged this completely off-topic. Maybe a mod could merge it with a titanfall thread.

Edit. Awesome new thread title!!!

What bothers me about the game doesn't have to bother you. If you love it to bits, great for you. I didn't list what I didn't like about the game with the intent to have anyone else try and counter me...hence why I said those were things I personally didn't like.

Also, I never said there weren't snipers or campers, or people using other weapons, but it's not the norm, at the very least, they don't pose a real threat, and that's my point. Not that there isn't any, but that it really doesn't matter.

We're back to the usual circular argument which has been done to death. As I said earlier, if the games arcadey feeling doesn't sit well with you, then that's to bad. At least BF and COD are there for you to fall back on.

Indeed.

Everyone that says blah blah the Cloud this the Cloud that, let me tell you something. The "Cloud" isn't going to do s*** for the lack of horsepower of X1, latency is way too much of a factor to do anything in real time.

Tell me how the "Cloud" worked out for OnLive. Huge Flop and they were only running the games on these cloud servers and rendering video for you to stream.

Hey, stick to one off-topic topic at a time.
