The UnionVGF Weightlifting/Workout Thread

I’ve started learning how to snatch. I am thinking of joking a Olympic weightlifting gym. Probably too old to ever get super heavy lifts, but def ready for a change from 24 hour fitness 6 days a week.

Would be nice for the weather to warm up a bit so I can get out biking. Been a bit cool and some snow still. Supposed to be a bit warmer early week but of course rainy. Should put the most miles in this year than I've ever done before.

So... Update on training.

I did a dirty, dirty bulk that got way, way overboard... Although prob the strongest I've been since my teens, I really got fat lol
So, started cutting down for real about 7 weeks ago and I'm prob around 4kg from the desired form, so this isn't my final summer form yet, but it's going pretty good. I cut some before photos together with a few from this morning (carb depleted and mellow in head lol).Screenshot_20220526-081743_Gallery.jpg

You and I have a similar physique. I got back into weightlifting near the end of 2021. I've been using this pre-workout that turns me into this pump machine, I love it. I got a lil too comfortable with dirty bulking too, so I am in the process of cutting down some.

what pre-workout?

Also, diet mostly consisting of salmon, chicken and cottage cheese every 2,5h from 9am to 7pm.
Training with weights 5 times/week at around 45 min and at least walking 15k steps a day.
Basically under 50g carbs/day.... every... single... day... since March.

Edit: and no cardio
