The Witcher 3 1080p/30fps PS4|900p/30fps XBO

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases in a couple of months and last week, CD Projekt RED held an event to showcase the latest build of its title. Our dear friends over at Enternity attended that event and interviewed the game’s Art Producer, Michal Stec, who told them that its visuals have not been downgraded.

As Michal Stec told Enternity’s Pavlos Papapavlou, CD Projekt RED is currently optimizing the game and has not downgraded the game’s visuals in any way.

“No. That’s the answer. We are not downgrading it. We are optimizing the game but in a way that doesn’t affect the visuals. So there is a lot of work for us, and this is also one of the reasons why we delayed the game. Because we still have to optimize it to get the best performance for you guys as possible.”

With all the talk about downgrade, I think the worst offender in recent time is darksoul 2. The difference is day & night its not even an opinion.

Im actually surprised the topic about resolutions for this game were brought up to begin with. The game looks incredible on every platform. This thread must simply be for the sake of arguing. Guess people need something to talk (complain) about, I guess.

Totally agree, the game is going to blow everyone away regardless of system preference. But like any other forum there a few here that have serious self confidence issues!!

How much caring is needed for topics like this, Vall? Im confused. If you've already made your decision on which version you intend to purchase, how does this in any way, shape or form involve you? Especially if you're getting the PS4 version? What does it matter if its on the X1 (a console I believe you also own) at 900p/30 fps? How does this affect your decision or your enjoyment with the version you've chosen? I keep attempting to make logic of it, but each time the answer doesnt speak well of you, and I know you arent one to indulge in such things as petty and (strikingly insignificant) as this. Just trying to understand here. Help me out bro-hamed Ali!
 
Well it was 720p a year ago and 900p a few months later. I wouldn't exactly be shocked if it did land at 1080p, I just hope they wouldn't push it up there at the expense of a stable frame-rate.

These type of threads are prob the biggest hitters on gaming sites as inquiring minds want to know.
Since you constantly whine post in these threads maybe you shouldn't be allowed in them. Just saying

Getting high enough graphix fidelity with a stable FPS should be priority 1 for these consoles.
Unless they achieve this the PC version will crap all over them.

Serious question; do you REALLY believe that?

Because if you do, I'll allow you to do so and not impede on your illusions. As long as you feel an increased self worth or value about yourself for thinking that a topic like this makes me unhappy...I'll allow it this one time. All for you broseph.

There is going to be a massive gap between what the recommended spec can achieve at 1080p/30fps on PC and what PS4 will be outputting at 1080p/30fps.

Night/Day.

The console versions look good, but it would be a bad idea to go in expecting it to be even close.
 
Well that's confirmation, they weren't just using the German publication as a source but actually checked on it themselves.

Hearing that PS4 platform was 1080p/30 was good enough for me.

Sucks that X1 couldn't but you guys'll still be able to have fun, no doubt.
