So will the PS4 version be patched to a PS5 version or is it a completely separate download?

I own it on Xbox and Playstation but have only completed it on Xbox.

I haven't seen any mention of how it'll work yet. I own it on both, but only finished it on the PS4....well, except for the Blood and Wine expansion.

Redownloaded the game on my XSX in anticipation for this update!

Review | The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Next-Gen Edition on Series X|S

An All-Time Classic Renewed

In Conclusion

The Witcher 3 is nearly a masterpiece. If the combat and movement were better it would be for me. As is this is one of the best experiences in gaming, and everyone should play this version of it.

Reviewed onXbox Series X

Anyone know release time?

Their listed date is the 14th, but I'm pretty sure they mean Poland time (they posted the below "1 day" countdown thing for the patch on Twitter 15 hours ago), so I think it may be available this evening in the US.

Just watched the video comparison and the Series X looks to be the best option for Raytracing Mode whereas the PS5 is best for Performance Mode. I'm not sure if the early reviews will be operating off the same version of the upgrade as the Day 1 release.

Supposedly midnight UK time which would be about 7pm eastern time today.

Seems pretty similar to Cyberpunk. 60fps runs better on PS5 (dynamic scaling drops to lower resolutions on PS5 for Cyberpunk) and the Quality / graphics mode runs better on XSX.

Wondering if there's a day one patch though, as all these sites other than Digital Foundry have put videos out. Maybe DF is just trying to put in more significant testing.

Going to dive back into this game. I was still under the 20 hour mark had just completed the quest where you track down the werewolf.

It's sad that I have to be more excited for 7+ year old games than I am for the majority of trash that's been released this year.

Same! That’s why I’m so excited, I never made it far in my first play through

I'm going to scrap my previous character since I don't remember what I was doing, or how to play. Now I have to figure out what kind of build I want to work towards.

I started this game 3 times, still never finished lol

Always almost stop at the same spot for some reason.

Much like Skyrim and Fallout 4 it can get a little heavy at times - starts to feel like work eventually.
I doubt it, but I’m hoping you can adjust having to repair your armor and weapons all the time.

I think something always distracted me away after a while in...

I'll pick it up again if it ever comes to PS+/GP.
