I'll play through it again, loved the game and there isn't anything coming out that I want until Hogwarts legacy in February so this will keep me busy.

Played around for about 10 minutes. I'm still in White Orchard on the Xbox version. I wasn't too impressed so far. I need my PS4 save so I can check out other parts of the game. I don't guess I can upload it without PSN+? If not, I'll install the game on PS5 to check it out.

I remember first getting this on PS4 and getting bored and never touching it again. A while later I picked up the Game of the Year edition on Xbox. Again, after a few hours I got bored but decided to stick with it. This game is a super slow starter and I'd even say drags a bit for at least 8-10hrs. But then the game picks up and gets really good and stays that way from then on. I don't remember exactly how long it took me to complete everything in the game and the meaty expansion but it was well over 100hrs.

Since I played and completed this on Xbox I figured I should download on my PS5. I'm not sure I'll play it through to the end but I'm interested in seeing how it looks after this new update. I remember I had a build that was super OP, focused primarily on sword play so maybe this time I'll see if a Sign/Magic build is any good.

I bet you'll fly through the areas that took you 10 hours on your first run. I'm almost completely done with White Orchard (including all side quests and activities) after my first evening with the game, and that's with spending a ton of time looking at graphics, switching between modes, and farming (murdering) pigs for gold.

I've primarily been playing on 60fps mode because the frame rate feels so great, but both modes are major upgrades graphically over the prior X1X version which up until now has been the best console port. Gameplay and cutscenes look great. I've had 3 or 4 weird short (a couple seconds) freezes when one of the tutorial screen pops up and I'm running or riding the horse. Tutorials are all dying down now though, so it's been a while since I've seen one of those.

I've been using this guy's tips for the early game.

Love the new camera and updated graphics. Animations are where you can really tell this is not a new game, I didn’t remember that enemies barely reacted to being hit

I hated how it defaults to the new camera. It reminds me of what I hate most about the new God of War games.

Is there a way to access options for performance/ raytracing and camera options? I have version 4.0 and it just goes straight to the game without any options.

Played for awhile tonight. Did that Wandering In The Dark quest and then helped her find the lamp. Felt like I was down in these caves for hours. The difficulty spikes in this game at times are ceazy. That gargoyle kicked my a** a bunch of times till I looked up best way to beat it.

Once we did leave the caves, saw the scenery and the sun peaking up a hill in the distance holy s*** this new update made this game look amazing. The lighting, foliage, and draw distance now is impressive. Now where to go next, will probably go back to that chick house and see what she wants next.

Either at main menu or on the pause menu in game just enter the options screen. Camera options were in Gameplay section and the performance/RT quality graphics modes were in Display section I believe.

Hmmm. On my game the display option just has gamma and something else.

Finally figured out how to upgrade to the PS5 version. Thank goodness the PS5 is a great console. Because the hoops they make you go through to do something as simple as upgrading a game is silly. Why do you have to have both versions installed?

I don't think it installs both? The only game on PS5 I've upgraded so far was FFVII Remake disc version. I think it pauses the PS4 install or something? Idk I've only had it for 3 weeks and I don't understand that goofy mess.

I'm guessing it's because you are upgrading the PS4 version it's not a native PS5 game.
