The Wrestling Topic

Cena has made the WWE more money than Punk ever did and ever will. The guy is a star and I'm not even a big fan of him.

Punk had hype but notice is still just the pipebomb promo. The guy got battered in 2 real fights so can't exactly be cutting promos saying he's going to kick people's arse. He will draw for a while but at 42 he won't have long left and will hopefully be in the putting over talent section... especially after criticising other older talent for not doing it.
When they worked together till now. CM Punk was and is more over with the fans and critics.

What happened before they worked together is irrelevant when comparing them.

That really is his claim to fame, the "Pipe bomb." That's really it. You won't find him anywhere in lists of "great matches" unless it's with a bonafide super star such as Cena or Lesnar.
Yeah you been out of the wrestling picture.

I suggest looking up his critically acclaimed matches vs Samoa Joe.

Yeah we done talking wrestling

Tough call really. Personally wouldn't have been bothered if it was cancelled(just a show). The response from fans has always been mixed as to what they should have done. Jerry stopped breathing on Raw but no one says the show should have been cancelled.
Keep in mind though he was alive when they took him to the hospital but still tough call.
But then he should never have been doing that stunt in the first place

Here's the deal. Punk was f***ing over as hell, sold a lot of merch, and was a star when WWE had very little. Definitely more mainstream success than the majority of the roster, but not as much as Cena. That doesn't mean he wasn't a star, he just wasn't on Cena's level of marketability and probability of crossover success.

I'm bigly stoked for him to return, just like I'm bigly stoked for Cena to wrestle Reigns on Saturday. Wrestling rules and Plainview is wrong about it sucking.

Which is all reigns said and it's true. As big as Punk got it was never that level.

He's not going to sign every talent.
He hasn't.
Only Mark Henry is a wwe reject(as the haters say)

If they get Rotunda and Stroman that's two more.

Big show.
Henry
Cody (deal with it)
Justin Roberts
Hager
Guerrero
The Revival
Tye Dillinger
Also going to add Moxley. Just a goofy character no matter what and some dumb moves.

Probably more but I'm not looking at the roster.

Also people wouldn't care nearly as much for Punk, Bryan or Y2J if not for what they did in the WWE so yes they made them what they are to wrestling today.

Wrestlers only.

Only Mark and Hager.
