Im going to have to end up getting a One for the living room, both my kids are always on theirs
Might have to get one for the bedroom. Working swing shifts right now, and for my wife not being a gamer. She sure did get upset I beat Ghost before her.
Kinda hard to get playing time in the way our place is set up. Especially when I'm working 2nd or 1st shift.
It is a family console though. Just didn't think I'd be having to wait until my family wasn't around or asleep to play.

LOL...oh it costs you....you paid for it in your overpriced Apple device. We pay a premium for their products for a reason. And I own countless Apple products.
Wierdest thing, ever since i called MS and told them i needed to ship off the kinect. The thing has worked perfectly. My Day 1 controller still has the edge issue, but not on my standard. It doesnt effect my gameplay, so screw it will wait till fat tuesday to send it off.

I wonder if this factored into any of the disc drive problems? Maybe didn't have as much time as they really needed to test them out properly? Mine works fine though.

Does the problem only happen with Blu ray movies? I think I only own one blu ray movie. I wouldn't mind testing it to see if there is a problem.

I think there have been different disc drive problems. I know some people would put their game in, and it'd just making a loud churning noise and not play the game.

Ah right... have had nothing like this.

Steam doesn't use discs, everything is digital, however, I have never purchased a game more than $29.99 on steam. I refuse to pay $59.99 or even $49.99 for some of these games. The last full-priced digital game I bought on PC was Battlefield 3.

These game prices would have to come down in price if/when they go 100% digital.

EDIT:

Also, I use my Xbox One for blu-ray movies, I rent all the time from Redbox, it's much cheaper than going to the movies, if X1 didn't have a disc drive, that would kill a person's movie library, and you would have to have a separate blu-ray player.

If DD was reduced (like we all KNOW it should be) I'd be more than happy :D
Yeah the prices are insane for DD on xbox. How it can be justified is completely beyond me. Microsoft's digital vision for the future will never be realized until they accept that the games have to be sold cheaper when using DD.

Got DR3 last night at BB for 39.99. Ryse, FM5 also the same price.....not sure how long the deal will last! I got the last copy of DR3.

Who cares as long as people are having fun! Honestly if someone can't find a X1 today, but really want one. Instead buy a 4 or WiiU do you really think in the next 7 years they won't end up getting an X1?

Yes, well you're not waiting for an answer on the matter. You already have an X1. I would like to get some info so I can make the decision to import by march. If there are bundles being planned you can get more bang for your buck, right?

Digital downloads are more then worth it for me. Both my daughter and I can play NFS or any other live game with each other on our separate Xbox Ones with out having to buy two physical copies as we have done in the past.
Even without that savings I bought b4 for ten more then the sale price just to be able to seamlessly switch between games with my voice. That has completely spoiled me. :)

Really? I thought that feature got removed?

My brother (who also owns an X1) came over last night and signed into my console so he could play his character in BF4. We were both signed into the console but his was active and while he was playing BF4 I said "Xbox, record that" and the pop up said video saved for SirVilhelm. I thought that was interesting since his profile is signed in and active. So he gave voice command a try and the pop up said the video was saved for his account. Tried this a couple more times and infact the xbox can tell who is giving out commands and save the content for the correct profile.

Anyway, I thought that was interesting.

That is pretty cool.

It is following the same method they used with 360. The perceived negative is I have to be signed on to live to play my games (her's is my home Xbox in her room). So when my wife wants to play in the living room she just has to sign me in. (or I poke my head in and the Xbox sees me :) ). With the savings on double paying for physical it is more then worth it.

I believe this is done by way of just knowing where sound is coming from, and knowing where each player is in the room (via the controller in their hand and/or facial recognition.)

Just went to give someone a like who got a 30 something combo hit at the end if a match on KI. Can't find how to find players.
