Boo-yeah. #1! Just like Xbox, we buy more games and spend more on a per person basis. No wonder I do so well in online shooters. lol
It's odd when X1 and PS4 are only selling about 2-3 games per system on avg. What's the point of buying a new console then? So for every person buying 5, 6, or 7 games, there's a guy who bought literally zero games or 1 game.
Loosen up the purse strings people! Most of the games launched I don't even care for, yet I've bought I think 5-6 disc games, the $40 KI pack and Peggle 2. I even got the second controller + recharging pack which has been used rarely. And the really good games I'm waiting for aren't even out yet.... Bethesda games (Fallout 4 better come no later than 2015!), Bioware games , GTA5 next gen, NHL, UFC, The Division etc....
And out of all of those countries, the one that is always at/near the top of rankings to do with peacefulness and friendliness, but always near the bottom of military spend vs. other Western/rich countries on a % of GDP basis.
Be nice and don't bother people. And you won't have to blow the budget on guns and ordering F-16s every year!
And if you want to beat out someone, beat them in an online shooter rather than real life shooting!

I'm not a tax pro, but out of that list of countries, Canada, UK, Euro countries and Australia (Commonwealth) will be high in taxes.
I'm pretty sure the avg US person pays less income and state tax vs. the above.... though that is partly balanced off by needing to fund healthcare themselves (such as my US colleagues still needing to pay $100-400 per month to top up heath care plans for single people or families). But then again, they get to write off mortgage interest as a income tax deductible which could be huge savings. So a person with a $200,000 mortgage at 3% interest ($6,000) gets to write that off. At let's say a 30% tax bracket, you just saved yourself $1,800.
When I speak with my US colleagues about money and taxes and such, it seems overall the avg US person should have a decent % amount left as savings vs us Canucks, but some reason it's pretty even. So either there's some hidden US fees they are paying we missed, there are hidden Canadian savings we missed, or the avg Yank just spends more buying stuff leaving less savings. Who knows.
All I know is that based on what we compare, if we switched I'd probably net out an extra $10k a year using US policies. And that excludes all the mortgage interest deducting savings I could have got for all years past.

Guess you do not want to consider things like pay not rising with Inflation, or average pay, or taxes-lots of taxes, taxes on everything, huge taxes. I mean a Median wage of £500 a week isn't going to get you very far
lets not even get started on the terrible job market, businesses closing down left, right, and centre, more jobs being lowered to minimum wage and minimum wage. Lets also not forget that the economy here is barely staying above recession. Just cause a country spends more than others on consoles doesn't mean it has lots of well-to-do folk.
I do not know about you, or where you are from (Netherland?)but we are doing ok, I pay only about 50% tax.
Could get to ridiculous lows of low 40s% (or under), if I pop a couple of kids.

So I think I may have diagnosed why the headset doesn't work sometimes (for those who have had the problem). I just recently received my replacement because my previous headset, no one could hear me when I spoke. I got my replacement and it worked great...for the first three days. I thought to myself, "I just got this headset and it should be fine", so after going through all the settings and such to figure out an issue, I decided to go turn chat on the Kinect off so that I wasn't getting any false positives while testing my new headset.
That's when I noticed it. In the Kinect settings there is a "window" that shows what the Kinect sees. For some reason, it was showing me as "Guest" instead of my gamertag, even though I had logged in already. Therefore, I went to sign-in and told it that the Kinect hadn't recognized me, choose my gamertag, and verified that "That's me" when asked. Low and behold, after doing this the headset worked perfectly again. A couple of days passed and suddenly during one session players could hear me this time, but I couldn't hear them. Sigh. So I checked again, and sure enough the Kinect was seeing me as a "Guest". I signed in again and once again everything worked perfectly.
So my suggestion to anyone who has a headset that suddenly "stops working", verify that the Kinect isn't seeing you as a "Guest" and follow the steps I mentioned before sending the headset in for a replacement.

Holy s***, the new Long Beach track is awesome in Forza 5. Wasn't this track in Sega's old racer Ferarri 355? Jumping back into F5 again reminds me why I liked it so much,and to also see see this game move with such fluid movement and with clean graphics. Anyways this looks and plays beautifuly. Update was only 2 gigs,not bad at all for a whole new track. I also got tired of waiting for DriveClub so I gave up on that mess and glad i decided to jump back into Forza. Its all fresh again,hope we have more tracks to come. Get off the resolution thing and start playing the games people! This game is smokin hot.
Damn...even that game? A XBLA game? Yeah i know it is not XBLA on X1 anymore...but neither is it a retail game. Good thing the difference between 900p and 1080p is nothing terrible at all, but it would be even better if this problem gets sorted out. Sure wonder when that is going to happen, like the Sniper Elite 3 dev said.

Like it matters. People can't even spot the diffference between 1080 and 900 to begin with. So in the end it comes down to controller preference and the online service you play on.
Isn't this game fluacting in its frame rate all over the place though? Guessing its the same as the PS4 version(which had an annoying,unsteady frame rate.) Then again this is EA.

EA Sports and various low budget games like Peggle 2, Crimson Dragon, Lococycle, Zumba and perhaps some more I missed are 1080p too. Even Project Spark is 1080p.
This Trials thing with 900p is an odd one.
People can't even tell 720p vs 1080p. When IGN posted their CoD X1 vs PS4 comparison shots, people all claimed they could pixel count and see the difference. Turns out IGN messed up their screen captures and accidentally posted both games in the same 720p.
1080p has 2x the pixels over 720p, yet people were imagining things and couldn't even tell in a static shot that both had the same pixelation and 720p. lol
Yup, i've seen greatness. I know all about the cloud. I understand the tech inside and out. It's laughable reading what these doubters have to say when they have no clue what they're talking about.
With all the DX12 and could techno info, safe to say it will improve X1 gaming. But probably in a moderate sense at most. According to that demolition video, the cloud demo stays at about 32 fps and the other one slows to a crawl at 2 fps. But I doubt that means a cloud assisted game is 16x more powerful.
I find it hard to believe DX12 and cloud will offer zero improvements.
Right now, cloud is helping with TF grunts and Forza drivatars. So it's already a start.
Resolution won't determine how great Halo 5 or Gears of War 4 are. Last i checked i can't play those games anywhere except for on the Xbox One.
Exactly. Some people who were preaching about 1080 tried to turn it around and then made fun of those journalists who were fooled too. Doesn't change the fact though: the 1080 advocates were fooled just as much. Pretty funny s***. Playing paper specs can burn people sometimes.
