Looks pretty good. I watched it earlier today. Still some pop-in & the blur obviously. Slightly disappointing considering these systems cost $400-$500. I would have rather bought a Xbox One for $500 that didn't have a Kinect, but had 4-8 more gigs of RAM & slightly more processing for that extra $100.
This, but I think they can keep the Kinect but beef up the spec, & sell maybe at a slight loss. They can easily get the money back with bigger install base + Live subscription. I seriously do not know what the executives are thinking, maybe under pressure by shareholders.
Already, I heard many long time XBOX supporters being disappointed with MS, & thinking (if they have not already) of getting the PS4 instead.
Some people may say, who cares, but remember if more people get a PS4, & they gain a much bigger install base, support for the console for 3rd party developers will be much higher. Remember the xbox/PS2 era?
I heard an article that buying a new console at launch is always a risk, not unlike buying an electronics at launch. Too much unknown. Some people said, eventually the tools will get better, & xbox will eventually close the gap. Fact is we do not know. We can only compare what we have at the moment.
Imagine with MS beef up the spec, we could have Xbox version being comparable with PS4 now, & the possibility of becoming better with better tool set!
I am also surprise. Don't MS talk to the developers, in the development process. If I am MS executive & I know 2 major developers having issue getting comparable performance, I will really find out what happened. Issue with tools, or just hardware not on par? If the formal, they could have inform us that this is driver issues as they have spoken with developers, & future games will be better. If the latter, they could have beef up the hardware when they have the chance.
