This gif comes from the portion just before that, the gif you posted was a comparison some guy was trying to do between the initial reveal and the new footage which also happened to be the worst looking part of the trailer. People took off with it acting like that's how the whole game looks.

Do you have a link? Typically I don't trust shrunk down gifs, they usually make things look better than they should.

The same guy on neogaf who posted the link to that first gif posted the second one in his words "to be fair"

You can see all of that footage in this video.

What momentum did the X1 have before E3? did you forget the backlash that was already hitting MS regarding their initial unveiling? I mean I know you and Astro were extremely excited about it but you can't have that bad of a memory.
Da hell does Astro have to do with this?o_O

Anyhow, I was speaking on the momentum going into this upcoming E3. My bad for the misunderstanding then...

That preview footage is disappointing. The graphics took a hit in a noticeable way. It looks like GTA 5 with slightly enhanced textures and polygons.

Actually I have to apologize, for some reason I was taking that post Rollins posted as being about last years E3 so I was wrong. That said, I still really don't see any momentum for X1 now, it's constantly being outsold by it's main competitor. Being that E3 isn't for 3 months I just don't see how this guy can claim the X1 has momentum going into the show. It's also funny that the guy is saying his "sources" are saying Sony is pressuring Ubisoft to lower the res of the X1 version, as if we haven't seen many games on the X1 having lower resolutions than the PS4 version. That post he quoted sounds like someone trying to cover for the fact that the X1 vs someone who actually has an inside source.

That gif everyone is upset about was nowhere to be seen in the trailer I just watched. Is it even legit at all?

No matter what, that Witcher 3 gif is incredible!
Its from a Gamespot live stream of the PS4 version.

Weird though...only that one bridge part is truly awful. The daytime stuff looks okay, good enough i guess. So i guess nighttime simply looks like trash now then?

I think that bridge glowing off and on kind of screws up the look a bit too.

I thought Gaf "verified" that as being ps4... but. Didn't seem like it. I'm not entirely sure where that portion of the gif is from honestly.. I thought it was the leaked trailer but maybe that wasn't it...

Maybe it looks better than it really should, or maybe they never "enhanced" the day time stuff that much before. Either way, that is such a huge change, it's a bit jarring.

Outlast is like in between last gen and current gen in terms of graphics. It's graphical quality is masked because of its excellent usage of dark spaces and corridors and minimal light sources throughout the game. A game like Watch Dogs won't have this benefit.

That pic with the rain and wind is so upsetting because that looks awesome.

The people asking questions were idiots, just spamming the same old crap over and over again. They game makers talked about the graphics at the very beginning, sure it wasn't a very good answer lol but they addressed it as much as they were going to. They did explain the delay at the beginning as well, talking about how all of the systems weren't coming together properly etc. They had some audio issues the first time he explained it though and they had to sort of restart and he gave a shorter answer that time.
