What are you playing this weekend?

Almost finished up spongebob, am giving control and diablo 4 a go. But I gotta say I feel in a bit of a gaming rut, last game I truly enjoyed was dead island 2 at launch so maybe I'll give the DLC a go.

MS/XB is having their Spring digital sale. I got Kingdom Come Deliverance and all its DLC for $4. Have always wanted to try it out heard it was a good RPG after updates. I also got this game called Rustler for less than $2. It’s an old school GTA style top down view game set during medieval times. Read it had some great humor and decent action. At that price figured what the hell.

Finally I am gaming again, Play quite a bit of Diablo 4 PTR and have a blast, & yesterday, played about 1.5 hours of Balder's gates 3. BG3 feels like a long running TV series. I am almost 170hours and still a lot to go.

I planned to finish my Teen Fantasy Novel pre-draft (Mostly sorting of the scene sequences I have written and post handwriting conversion) by end of the week. If I am faster, I intend to reward myself with some game time.

Are you writing it in German and then translated for the rest of the world. Oh will there be a digits release, and if physical, will you sign any of the first editions? Yo, you could do a limited collectors edition, like with both versions, physical and digital, maybe some art/sketches that didn’t make it into the book, and a 3d print of something from within the story, and ofcos a signature/autograph on said model

Nothing but Dragon's Dogma 2.

Close to finish BG3 with friend.

I will provide more details when its more presentable, It will be in English. Any translation depends on popularity. My German even worse than my English , My language skill sucks in general (you can tell here). But I am pushing via sheer "power" of keep improving on existing writing, & watching alot of youtube videos on writing.

Which is why I started with finishing my pre-draft (writing from start to finish done & sorted). next will be called draft 1 (decent enough to show friends & family version) , then draft 2. Hopefully by draft 3 will be good enough to be send to editor, & final draft will be draft 4.

I am also trying to find time to read. Recently finished R A Salvatore the Crytal Shard. I am currently reading a more recent book called The Shadow between us

Some of your points are pretty cool, shall see. I am trying to keep expectation grounded. I heard some expert said you need to write like 20 books or so before you start making money or so. I will keep writing & improving. The one thing I am certain is I will keep improving.

At minimum, I can look back in life & said, I have written then publish a novel.

An interesting, though not new discovery I have is, I enjoy creating stuff more than playing stuff. I guess this is why I choose to be an product design (Automotive) engineer, and like to draw and make 3D art/print, try game design in my free time & now writing my first book.

When I look at a game, I will think how can I improve the system. I will always be a gamer, but I am now more selective of the game I play & gametime. I bought BG3 in Dec, and still beginning of act 3. Hopefully I can finish by summer. I wanted to go back to WOW ( I pasued my sub) sometimes, because its still one of the best world building/lore of any game series.

But I will certainly play Diablo 4 season 4 in May 15. ARPG is my jam,
I specifically schedule my novel lst-draft deadline on May 14 so I can play guilt free.

That's awesome, I've been spending less time with gaming and focusing on gathering materials/knowledge for my mini forge to get ready to make some mini blades (or prison shanks lol) and to a lesser degree expanding my bonsai collection, like you I'll always be a gamer at heart but it's definitely taken a backseat for other interests.

I've actually pondered the use of a 3D printer to make little moulds/designs and implement them onto the handles or blades, but that's definitely far down the track.

But I'm enjoying dead island 2 dlc and some atmoic heart.

Destiny has sucked me back in with their reissue of classic weapons. I've been messing around with BG3 more too, although that has been frustrating.

Played league of legends last night to practice Aram mode. Trying to practice builds and learning different heroes.

Robocop: Rogue City

Having a good time with this now. Kind of a dull first 5 to 7 hours, pretty slow pacing up front before you're able to finally start unlocking better abilities and weapons.

Got 220 miles in Gran Turismo 7 last night and this morning. Prolly no more gaming until Sunday night.

What's Harold like? Looks intriguing.
I'm only an hour in. The animation is great. So far, it's walking/running around and having conversations with people. There's some dry humor in there. Very little game play.

I booted up my Xb1 and PS4 this weekend, looking to clean them up for a work project. My God, the SSDs in the PS5 and Series X are revelations. I didn't realize how much the old hardware made you wait until I had to boot them up and tried to play them.

After I had my Series X and my oldest son was still playing on our One S you could tell a big difference in graphics and load times in some games then I remember. My son hated it and couldn’t wait for me to get them a Series X too lol.

zero hour gaming week again. I di dwatched a bit of "No Rest for the Wicked" steams while working.
Think hype for this game will die very soon.

You know you can swap console with your elder son. Just saying. :)
