Blood Red Sky (Netflix)
I love horror movies. This was a very intense film (sometimes unsettlingly so). Acting was a bit all over the place between all of the supporting cast, but the movie was smartly written and had lots of great details.
I rate it an 8.5/10
Gave a movie In The Valley of Elah a watch tonight. I remember renting it around the time it came out years ago just didn’t remember much else about it. Surprised how good it is it’s a really damn good investigation film up there with the top ones like Prisoners and Gone Baby Gone in recent years. Really good cast with a couple stand out performances. Recommend.
I wanted to like this movie so bad, but it just didn't captivate me at the time. Maybe it's time to give it another chance. I was kind of distracted the first watch.
The Suicide Squad
Thought a lunchtime viewing would give us a near empty viewing but no was more than half full but was still able to sit away from others.
Really fun with a killer.... cast.
2 deaths annoyed me in the sense I would have liked to see in future films but went in expecting one of them to definitely die.
WB.. start showing faith in everyone who makes films for you as that's when they actually bloody work.

Tried watching F9. Absurd and boring...couldn't deal with it and turned it off with 1 hour remaining.
man i was gonna go to cinema for 1st time since COVID started, to watch the suicide squad.... but now have to isolate for 10 days cause someone i was in contact with recently tested positive for covid

Watched the second half today. More absurd than the first half and somehow it made it more entertaining. lmao

Great! Prequel to the series. It was a hard watch at times though, revenge stories with family makes my heart ache and this unravels something horrible 3/4 in.

Utterly ridiculous movie. I guess FF10 will be racing buggies on Mars to steal alien technology and get away on a space shuttle made of sand with 7000 gallons of nitrous to go faster than light.

That's not cheap though, streaming in hd-4k takes a lot of data... I have a vpn service that's free, but only 10Gb/months.

Watched a clip of Sexy Beast which was amazing way back when.
Got myself a nice modern copy of it and WOW, if it was an 8/10 back then it's a 10/10 now.
Had a very nice time watching that movie again and I think I'd like to spend more time watching older stuff again.

Small Town Crime - Came across this on Netflix, I’ve never even heard of it. Came out a few years ago. Was a good investigation film with a good cast and performances. Nice seeing John Hawkes in a lead role he has always been a great character actor. Recommend checking it out.
Forgot the movie released. I finished up the second season of the show a couple of weeks ago.
