What movies have you seen recently?

Morbius -

So actually with all the hate and everyone saying it’s terrible I enjoyed it.
Don‘t get me wrong, I ain’t saying its amazing, but did I have fun watching it, yes. Didn’t think it deserved the hate it got tbh.

Too many people nowadays hate on films, for wrong reasons. I didn’t like Dune one bit, but I can’t say it’s terrible. The cinematography was amazing, but I found the overall movie boring and just not my cup of tea, but I am not going to post all over social media how much I didn’t like it and it’s trash.
Agree 100% about Morbius. It was not a terrible movie. I'd even say it's way better than Venom.

If a movie is boring then it is a terrible movie. Dune was boring as fook, and that is coming from a guy who loves Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - which also has great cinematography.

It is supposed to entertain us, not bore us.

Fantastic Beasts 2: Good

The plot was pretty generic, and there was little character development. However, the acting and dialogue were good (Jude Law in particular was outstanding). It was also fast-paced, leaving no time to be bored. That said, I am a fan of the Harry Potter universe, so take this review with a grain of salt.

RRR - Decent

First Bollywood movie I've ever watched. It's three hours, which is too long imo. If there is one thing you'll learn, it's that the British Empire is evil. They beat that into your head from start to finish.

I made it through The Batman, first half was awesome, second half was what I would imagine a major slog if you were watching this in the theatre.

I thought it was very good, but not amazing, yet I was satisfied because I was able to take my time watching it, take breaks etc and at the end I really enjoyed it.

I'll have to check out The Northman next. See what I think.

Everything Everywhere All at Once - Eh

I'm not a fan of these types of movies that use sci-fi simply as an allegorical tool to tell an ultimately mundane story.

The new Top Gun was f***ing great! Probably one of the best summer blockbusters since Mad Max Fury Road . Man gotta say Jennifer Connelly has aged like fine wine.

Had some free time today so I took my oldest boy and dad to see it. We had a good time. Going to try and see new Jurassic World next Sunday.
