Argo was good...not sure about the rest of your post
I watched White House Down last night, it was alright for what it was..a popcorn action flick. Very Die Hard-ish.
Also ended up watching The Way, Way Back with the wife, interesting movie.
Looks awesome, one of the few movies that I actually want to see in the theater
I saw "Now You See Me" which was a very bad film with zero character development, zero intelligence, zero originality and zero redeeming qualities. I would not recommend this waste of time to anyone. Even someone looking to waste time.

Pitt was like a super machine impossible to kill, reminded me of the kid in the first Jurassic Park. Zombies should have been scared of his super human impossible to kill ass.

I assume this was done pre-invasion. She was in some kind of cryo sleep on the ship and remained that way. Is possible she was up the duff then.

Saw Escape from Tomorrow. It's alright. It really hinges on how much you care about Disney stuff I think. It's a fun watch overall though. I had a good time when it was all said and done. Can't believe it took three years to make this thing though. Makes me wonder about what was left on the cutting room floor.
I thought about that, but then why would they have let her go into space in the first place. Unless it's unlike today's space program, don't think they let pregnant chicks head up there. Maybe they knocked boots on the spaceship itself, does that even work?

Who knows, but is kind of a minor point and not really worth dwelling on.
I stopped watching after a minute. He wasn't just some average stay at home Dad. Pointless carrying on when it gets stuff wrong right out the gate.
Is joke! Of course he wasn't a stay at home dad (well technically at that point in the movie... he was. That was the entire point of that scene.), he was supposed to be a super bad ass from before. I get it. But I'm no super bad ass, I would have died cooking those pancakes but my daughter doesn't talk to me that way "all you do is make pancakes in the morning!". Ungrateful little s***, make your own damn pancakes then if you think it's SO easy!

Was Ok. Had some cool scenes
but I just didn't enjoy the characters at all. The writing for me seemed average at best. Visually though, I thought it was pretty Epic.

The writing is generic cookie cutter stuff. The characters have no real depth, and floating through space and all you can say is "What should I do. What should I do"
It's as if the female had no training at a all and the male thought it was one big game/joke.Lets also not forget that NASA would have been tracking that space debris and would have know it was going to take out another satellite long before it hit, but No. They didn't know till it was too late and set up the whole survival story
