What TV show have you seen recently ? Episode one

Just binge watched the first 5 episodes (and first 10 or 15 mins of episode 6) of Archive 81. No clue how it ends, but it's been well done so far. If you're into horror adjacent type shows like X-Files and Fringe, you should definite check this out.
Yeah, finished it.. by the season's end it's not as great as in the start imo.
Still, it's pretty good overall imo, interested how they'll keep the mystery style writing going forward.

Ever since NBC took Debris away from me, I need something similar.

I'll check this out.

Yeah, unfortunately the resolution in all of these kinds of shows seems to never be anywhere near as good as the lead in. I was pretty happy that I'm still enjoying it and interested in where it's going with only a few episodes left. I'm getting more and more burnt out on series / TV style story telling, so it's pretty cool when something like this comes around that feels somewhat unique.

Apparently the director / show runner did one or two episodes of Stranger Things. I'm not familiar with her, I'll have to look into what else she's done.

Watching last night I was wondering if they'll go the American Horror Story route and have each season be a completely different story / time line inside the same "world" with different research projects. Not sure if that's feasible with how it all ends, I'll find out tonight!

I finished last night, totally agree with you. To be honest, I was pretty let down by the last 2 or 3 episodes. Even the writing and acting seemed weaker at the end, which was odd. I wonder how many times the f-word was said (or screamed) in the last 3 episodes. Not the type of thing that I even notice usually, but it was used so awkwardly and unnaturally in almost every scene, I'm not sure if it was bad writing or bad ad libbing. Still enjoyed the series for the most part and will be interested to see if it gets another season, but what I thought was "great" for the first 5 episodes turned into a "pretty good" for me by the end as well.

Alright I'm out of stuff other than Book of Boba so I guess I'll give Ozark a go (think I watched half an episode when it came out and wasn't in the mood at the time, can tell the show is probably awesome)

Edit: apparently watched 2 episodes. I'll start over cause I don't remember anything.

another edit: wow that hooked me first episode, thom yorke song at the end helped too. nice I got a show to binge and it'll probably all be out by the time I get to the end. I feel like that happens to everyone else but me haha.

Wife and I are on Season 2 Episode 4 of GoT. Still a great show.

I also just started watching "Girls" on HBO Max. Holy hell there is a ton of sex in this show. I'm "glued". And I want to marry this chick...

Schitts Creek if you want to laugh forever.

Schitt's is fine, not amazing. I definitely enjoyed what I saw a lot, and I'm sure I've said this on the forum somewhere else, but the show just makes me miss Season 1-3 of Arrested Development.
AD is ungodly, but Schitt is as close as a show could get to that in that genre.

Ozark is SOOOOO good.

I don't know if this resonates with anyone else, but my favourite part of this show is Marty Byrde yelling at his phone to shut the f*** up.

"this message has ended, you have more..." STFU!

Sorry, I just find it funny. Anytime I use google maps on my phone to go somewhere in my car, I'm constantly going "yeah I know bitch, STFU, too much direction!"

LOL.

Anyway I'm on this show for a while, nice.

Finished Lost in Space season 3. Although, it was pretty decent; it felt rushed ala GOT. I guess Covid and budgets may have had a play in it.

Started watching Legends of Vox Machina. Decent enough show. Not great, but good, and worth watching at least the two episodes. I think you'll know if the show is for you or not after that.

All of Us are Dead - Good

I wouldn't mind if they just ended it with one season.

Attack on Titan

every episode gets more insane. At least it finally gave some history / origin of the Titans.

Not sure if the hero of this story has suddenly turned into the villain at this point.

I need to get back to watching it. Haven't watched since episode 2 or 3 of season two.
