Late to the party but started watching the animated Harley Quinn show on HBO Max, I've never been a big fan of the character but the show is hilarious.

Ok not far in to first episode but really like The Boys, especially Simon Pegg sitting down on a couch and doing an American accent.

I'm sold.

Reminds me of a British show though, can't remember the name of it.

Keep up with it. It's a bit ridiculous, but it's a fast watch for sure.

The Rehearsal episode 2 was great, need to peep be third now that I'm back in town

Hey, it's kinda f'd up, but right up my alley. Plus they're doing satire on the superhero thing....it's been done before, but it's fun so far. I like it and will keep watching.

Obviously filmed in Toronto (Headquarters is Roy Thomson Hall with a skyscraper stuck on top lol. sorry, funny to see places you've known forever pretending to be NYC)

Got my parents watching Breaking Bad. Its been funny my dad calling me talking about the show “Walter just made his biggest drug deal!”

My sister got them watching Ozark when it aired, I told them they needed to watch the OG show. Hell I still haven’t got around to watching Ozark.

In a few episodes into The Good Place.

It's like comedy with religion and existentialism. Low key poking at Philosophy and has a very balanced use of absurdity with TV budget FX. Great cast to.

The Expanse Season 3 - Decent. I found the last episode to be a bit anticlimantic, though.

And when he's done he can watch Better Call Saul. You are a good son.

My dad won't watch anything I recommend. My mom will literally turn off anything that has a single swear word in it haha.

Anyway, hate to say it but I deleted season 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm off my hard drive because watching it 3 or 4 times seemed like enough.

Now this horrible news of Salman Rushdie finally getting hit, (and he better freakin' survive) I gotta watch that season again.

Like wow, they can't let s*** go. But at least he got all that fatwa sex.

Again, not making light of it at all just want to put that out there, but it's a fascinating scenario and man........really sucks if he doesn't make it.

I finished the 6 episodes of We Own This City on HBO. Not sure if I'd recommend it or not. Done by some of the same people involved in the Wire.

In one way, everyone should watch it to see how terrible a police force can be. It is based on a true story (not sure exactly how true it stays, but it keeps real names. It takes place over years and annoyingly skips around, but eventually paints a picture of just how bad things got (still are?) in one of America's largest cities. It seems to not decide if it is a documentary or a show, and sometimes falls into the Wire trap of going into the boring nitty gritty of police work.

Again not sure if I'd recommend it or not. I was invested through the whole thing (each episode is a full hour even though there are only 6).

I'd probably really like this. (goes and looks it up) Ok, gonna be watching this! Thanks!

I really liked the Wire (obviously! one of the best shows ever, easily), and really liked "the Night Of" which only got one series (and it really didn't need another, should be treated as a mini-series if you watch it) so I'm fairly confident I'll enjoy the hell out of this one, major thanks!

I'm fairly sure the last episode of Better Call Saul is airing tonight.

Dang........

So I got that (and I HAVE to watch the last episode again before diving into the last one)

And I also got The Boys (early into season 2) and Curb season 9 because of the Rushdie thing (it's more relative than it was back when it was made!)

And then I dunno. We Own This City is available for me to watch, not sure if I'll start that today but maybe.

Gotta love having good stuff to watch on your days off.

My parents have an absurdly comfortable retirement and I keep wanting to recommend creative things for them to watch but they stick to awful lame crap like Finding Bigfoot or Curse of Oak Island or stupid Network News. Of course when I see them, my mom says there is never anything good on.

and yeah my Mom is super Irish Catholic Conservative and doesn't like swearing. :smash:

They're stuck in Infotainment mode. Or they'll find a streaming service that has shows from the 60s or 70s.

They don't have to work, have all the time in the world, and watch lame crap.

Just watched the first episode of House of the Dragon (Game of Thrones spinoff) I liked it, I think the effects used for the dragons in later seasons of the original series were better though, they look a little less real in this one. Also I'm not sure I like that every dragon looks different, I mean it makes sense but I don't think any of the ones they've shown so far match the designs of the 3 dragons in Game of Thrones.

House of the Dragon... good stuff, I have no expectations so that helps.

Whoever recommended "We Own This City" to me thank you very much! It's good. Very much like "The Wire"

Really!

Loved The Wire. Will have to add We Own This City to the watch list.
