What's your favorite Xbox One feature?

I gotta admit, I'm pretty stoked about the BR player too. No more looking for that pesky remote to the one we have. Hell, I can't even find it now for crying out loud and I've been dying to watch some AVATAR. Skype will be pretty useful too.

Still trying to figure out what my favorite feature will be. I am looking forward to using the using the fantasy football on it.
I think this will be a really cool feature. I don't do fantasy football, but I know tons of people do and this will add some more excitement to it for sure.

Snap and the new matchmaking, hopefully it'll mean games where you get your ass handed to you or get matched with total douche bags is going to be a rarity!

I'm curious, not sure if it's been asked/answered, but is the ability to play music over any game an option? It's one of the best features nobody ever asks for on a console. Any word on that?

I think that is the whole idea of multi-tasking. But now instead of just playing music from your library, like on 360, you can stream, etc...

It'll almost definitely be based on an SDK where any "music app" always tells Xbox One what is playing, so that Kinect/games/etc. can pause/stop/repeat whatever. (like Windows Phone / iOS do)

Then MS can require games to support it, or make it optional if a game decides that it's own music is more important for cinematic reasons.

It's not really "multi-tasking" like on PC where I could theoretically leave Windows Media Player running and then launch a game.. that would suck and be awfully buggy.

I like fantasy football but I want to do fantasy basketball Lol

7.1 now anybody know which formats? I'm guessing Dolby but is DTS-hd also? Where would a person in the market for a receiver find this information?

So does mean I can play the xbox music thing while I play games?

Microsoft has heavily implied that we will be able to do this, but it is not clear to me. For example, my big question is... Will I be able to run a youtube app alongside my game so I can listen to pod casts while I game. It is not clear to me that this is possible... AKA, I haven't seen a demo of the xbox ui with a game running and someone watching youtube. AFAIK, microsoft has only shown live tv running in an app while a game is playing, and that was back in May. So how much of that was actual running software, and how much is "the x1 will do this some day in future" I really have no idea.

On this front, Sony is pulling similar shenanigans by heavily implying that their console multi-tasks in the hipster UI video, but then they totally conceal/obscure that the game app has to be suspended, then re-launched when you go to the Sony dashboard.

If you can't do that, but if you can play audio files, then you could just download the podcast and play it during gaming. If it's just on youtube or something like that, try using snipmp3.com. It converges the video into an audio file.

Right, I feel like no one is giving us a straight answer. This probably means it's not going to work how we all would like it to.

Awwww.....SNAP! Yeah, bouncing from Youtube to Netflix won't be such a pain in the a$$ anymore..

I think i'm most excited about the HDMI pass through combined with snap.

They said they snap will work with things that make sense like music. FOr youtube..i'm not sure it would work.

Now if they had a podcast app on the system, that could solve those problems.

They also said you could snap anything and anything other than a game and a game.

But, but, they never explicitly stated that I could have a game and snap a Kinect fart recognition app! Preorder cancelled.

Control over my whole living room with my voice. Turning everything on or off without a single touch of a button.

Instant user identification and sign-in (you never want to go back to old school after this).

Full screen/1080p or snap-able conference Skype for communication with my family... Easily the best Skype experience, and it's in the living room.

They also said you could snap anything and anything other than a game and a game.

There are two kinds of applications on X1, ERA's and SRA's... The former consumes most of the boxes resources, and isn't meant to snap. The latter is more of a smaller-in-scope experience, and is built to snap.

So it just depends which development kit they use to make the application. If they build an ERA, it won't snap. If they build an SRA, it'll snap... And while SRA's don't get much processing power compared to ERA's, they still get more processing power than a full Xbox 360 game. :-)

This will be nice. Right now my sign-in is just plain broken. Every single time I turn my 360 on it asks me for my security info. I ALREADY GAVE IT TO YOU MS!!!
