I'll keep this as brief as possible.
So I was listening to Marc Marons WTF podcast where he interviewed Chris Cornell of Soundgarden/Audioslave fame today and I think Mr. Cornell touched on why I'm not really a huge fan of any mainstream artists today.
Mr. Cornell was walking Marc though Soundgarden's beginnings and he said that Soundgarden wasn't highly thought of by the indie community in the beginning, due the band being "unapologetically male". I instantly understood this description and thought "That's what I'm looking for!"
So, in this thread we recommend new/current/modern,somewhat mainstream bands/songs that you think classify as "unapologetically male". Here's what I can think of right now...
Jack White's recent solo albums...
Phantagram - Black Out Days...
Royal Blood - Out of the Black...
Silversun Pickups - Panic Switch...
