Which UI do you prefer?

I absolutely hate the X1 UI. Not having kinect and never using online functionality, the thing is absolutely horrible.

I hope one day they redesign this horrid PS4 UI to something more usable, faster, and not buried nose deep in menus to find stuff. And for god sake make the os default to the last used item or played game. f***ing UI sucks more dick than Bree Olson.

Clearly designed for Kinect so it will continue to get better now that Kinect is dead.

ps4 by some distance. xb1 looks like a splattered wall, its way too busy and the tiles take up so much space, and theyre always oddly shaped too. looks so.. uncomfortable

Don't be talking smack about Bree...

Thank goodness it DOESN'T default to the last thing I did it does to the most recent games which is great but stuff like settings and HBO GO? LOL no thx

I find both of them to be very simple and straightforward (especially when pinning apps on the Xbox One dashboard) so I prefer the XB1 UI simply due to its visual style (that's more modern looking in my opinion).

I honestly don't see how anyone could have major issues with either of them though. They are very easy to use in my opinion.

What everyone said in this thread was completely shocking.

I think this is thread number 3 or 4 for this same thing, and plus you already know people are going to favor the UI of the system they like the most.

You might even get some drunk Wii U owner talking that up. Toss in some s***ty blades nostalgia and that's a thread.

X1 UI is not faster in anyway but sending messages.
X1 boots up slower/games launched slower.
X1 installs slower
Navigation is pretty much equal speed wise. Both have adds if anything when I am navigating the on the X1 I see more adds.
My two PS4's don't feel bogged down(save at times sending messages and that hasn't been a issue as of late) at all maybe yours is defective?
People complain about the PS4 store but that makes no sense as its in one place with different sections unlike the X1.
I have had issues on the PS Store were codes wouldn't work different times and they did.

I'm calling fud on the booting up slower and games launching slower. X1 is faster than the ps4 for both of these. Plus the X11 has had instant resume since launch and it took Sony nearly a year and a half to introduce it.

Th cold boot is bulls*** as X1 signs you in automatically, and it doesn't take that long to load either. Mine takes around 30 seconds on cold boot. So yes, PS4 still wins by a mere 8 seconds.

Standby time is bulls*** too as once again he uses a manual sign in for one and not the other. When you take that into account the X1 actually loads 4 seconds quicker:wink:

The rest I didn't see a problem with.

I don't need a YouTube video. I have both consoles and play both regularly. You are flat on wrong on those points. It's technically impossible for the ps4 to have been faster given it only just got instant resume in the last update. I suppose asking you to be objective is like asking the sun not to rise in the morning.

It'll happen one day, the sun not rising I mean.

I couldn't believe the cold boot loading times either until I tried it for myself. Much slower on X1 than I would've expected. The only downside to the faster loading on PS4 is that you actually have to play PS4 games when it's done. Kidding!

Seriously though, like bgamer said, both UI's seem to work fine and it's mostly about preference.

COLD BOOT

COLD BOOT

Go back and read your fud. You said the ps4 starts up and loads games faster. You didn't mention anything about cold boot. You represented that statement as a categorical fact and got called on it for the bulls*** it is.
