Which UI do you prefer?

What you said surprises everyone in the thread!

Sorry for stating my opinion based on visual preference I guess? I like modern minimalist art/style and feel that the UI of the XB1 fits that tone better. Would you feel better if I lied?

Not sure why you constantly immaturely/stupidly respond to what I say in the same old fashion.

It is bulls***. Why is he not signing in automatically on both? My X1 signs in automatically every single time.

Saw the video and it is a pretty unfair comparison when it comes to boot up. Booting up still takes longer on the Xbox One but only by about 10 seconds (total of around 33 seconds) if you have instant sign in.

Yep. I said it takes about 30 seconds too, but the PS4 is still quicker.

You can also exit out of the last thing you were doing without doing a cold boot. Just dashboard, press start and there should be an exit button. It will show an icon for the last thing you did, but not save the session.

I'm calling fud on the booting up slower and games launching slower. X1 is faster than the ps4 for both of these. Plus the X11 has had instant resume since launch and it took Sony nearly a year and a half to introduce it.

I think X1 is a little faster on boot-up from Instant resume, too, but just to clarify, PS4 has had standby mode from the beginning. It's just the pause/resume feature for in-game play that they've recently implemented (and that feature uses standby mode).

What everyone said in this thread was completely shocking.

I think this is thread number 3 or 4 for this same thing, and plus you already know people are going to favor the UI of the system they like the most.

You might even get some drunk Wii U owner talking that up. Toss in some s***ty blades nostalgia and that's a thread.

Yeah, I'm wondering how long it'll take before it gets locked.

He watches a lot of porn and it would be awkward when the kid boots it up.
I said what, because he must have a special PS4 UI. Mine boots up to the "whats new" icon, a couple icons over from my game.

Speaking of which, we should request "incognito xmb" for the porn browsing ;)

I'm pretty sure he would feel better if you lied. Or maybe he thinks those of us that prefer something that he doesn't is lying?

Well the Wii U does have the best store by far

And you should be banned for hating on the blades.

If there is one thing, the same people (myself included) are predictable. We all could have guessed how this question would be answered by each community member here. Same goes for any vs. thread when it comes to Xbox and PS.

I choose the Sega Genesis. Power ON/OFF/RESET/HEADPHONE VOLUME SLIDER. BOOM. I'm about gaming, not User Interfaces. f***ing casuals.

The only issue I have with the PS4 UI is the need for folders to be able to group the games/apps list. Otherwise, it's easier for me to navigate since both the PSP and PS3 both had a somewhat similar layout of navigation other than the games/apps list.

Go back and read your fud. You said the ps4 starts up and loads games faster. You didn't mention anything about cold boot. You represented that statement as a categorical fact and got called on it for the bulls*** it is.
Well if I wrote that I cold boot every time both consoles as I unplug them when not in use.... then yeah I did say this.

Its unfair because Xbox One is slower.
Booting Xbox One from cold boot is 2 times slower (which is shown) then the PS4.

You spin me right round, baby, right round, like a record player round round round round...

PS4 is two times slower then the Xbox One to boot.

Reading through the spin/denial comments in the video I posted from hurt xboys is hilarious it reminds me of the BS posted by xboys here LOL

From being completely turned off? If completely off, then it's the other way around. Either my X1 is faulty or your PS4 is if you're talking about the consoles being completely turned off.

No, not completely turned off. I have never tested that actually. I think the only time my consoles were turned off was when I moved my entertainment stand stuff around once. They are running 24x7x365.

I don't understand how you would consider someone mentioning 1) auto-sign in 2) instant-on as 'spin or denial'. Those are completely standard features, I've been using them as long as I can remember. I feel like you would have to go out of your way to not use them.

I use them as well and still notice Xbox One being way slower.

They are saying its not true is why.
Signing in doesn't change this but by 5 secs.
