Saw this asked on Kotaku, I don't post there so I'm asking my Union peeps.
For me it would be The Lord Of The Rings game on the SNES, what a turd.

Celebrity Deathmatch and Ride to Hell: Retribution for sure. RtH at least had that, so bad it's funny type of feel. Celebrity Deathmatch was worthless and boring which made me so sad because I'm such a huge CD fan.

Dragon's Lair, NES. I did errands for two months as a kid to save up enough to buy that game, boy - what a mistake.

Back in when the 360 was new and I was starving for an RPG, I bought this. Worse $60 I spent last gen.

Pirates of the Caribbean for the Xbox. The game was so unfinished and rushed that several side quests would literally just "end" even though the dialogue would tell you there was more to do. Additionally, some of the enemies would occasionally go into invincible mode where they could not die and the only resolution was to let them kill you. Plus all the enemies leveled with your character, so the same enemies would be three times as difficult by the end of the game.

This game pissed me off so much because it really had promise at the time. Some things were really well done and the framework was there for a great game. It started off as Sea Dogs II I think, but was licensed out to Disney and rushed to market in time to hit the shelves when the first movie was released if I recall correctly.

PS3: FF13
PC: Heroes of Might and Magic IV
PS2: Samurai Warriors Xtreme Legends
PS1: Warriors of might and magic

I haven't bought a bad game for a long time, since I cross out buying any game below 80% on Metacritics.

If I recalled back, probably DMC4, as the last game that I consider 'bad' that I bought & its not super bad. There are a few high profile game that I buy that I cannot get into, & sold them after a while; Fallout 3, Gears 2, Dragon Age Origin.

The humor in that game was good. I still remember Karin cooked something for Asuma and it looked so horrible that they censored it with pixelation.

The worst game I've ever purchased was Dark Sector. That was awful! Nothing feels worse than buying that game even at a discount.

Didn't buy it, but rented it back when I was very young: Super Troll Island. Might have just been because I was super young, but I just didn't get it and never got past the 1st level.
