Xbox 360 Titanfall delayed again but it's out now.

I don't know about the cloud difference, but looking at the videos of the 360 version you can tell there is a difference.

Yeah I meant the cloud. He said you can see the difference in cloud use.
 
Yep. This is one of the reasons why I don't really consider TF a XB1 exclusive. I'm sure the 360 version is similar, and everyone and their mother already have a 360, and it's also out on pc.

Honestly, they should have kept the game only on XB1, that would have been the smartest thing to do to increase sales.
It wasn't their call. Respawn and EA collaborate to a certain extent with Microsoft, but they're not in cahoots with them. Whether or not you consider it an exclusive, there's no denying the PS3&4 are excluded.

Thats what happens when you release a console at launch that is damn near as powerful as the top gaming PCs, and its easy to develop for. We won't get that kind of stretch in performance with ps4/xb1.

I understand that PS3/PS4 is excluded. However, the exclusion of certain consoles doesn't make it exclusive to any one console.

In other words, I don't need an XB1 to play TF. Most "gamers" already have a 360 or pc, so there's not a big incentive for gamers to run out and get a XB1 for TF, especially considering that TF is better on pc, and slightly worse on 360.
I wanted TF. I have TF. I didn't feel like I had to buy an XB1 for TF. "If" TF was only on XB1, I would have gotten an XB1, and many others would have as well. So no, it's not that "I" don't consider it an exclusive....it is not an exclusive.

Yes it is; It's a next gen console exclusive. The Xbox One is the only next gen console you can play it on. Of course, you can play an inferior version on one last gen console, and a superior version on PC, but if you are a console gamer who want's it next gen, Xbox One is the only one. It's like....me calling Black Ops 2 a playstation PS3 exclusive.....well, it is a PS3 exclusive, as you can't play it on PS1 or PS2...

No spin at all, merely a statement of fact. You're statement is factual, too. It's not exclusive to only one venue. This industry is rife with disingenuity, like last gen, when they would include handheld stats to avoid listing the the 360 as number one. Oddly, they don't seemto be doing that, this gen. I wonder why?

The whole industry has shady marketing. And it only gets worse. So it comes down to the gamer (hopefully) being smart enough to see through the BS.

Technically, it is getting to a point that if DF doesn't do their pixel counting or some gamer hooks up their system to their PC to do their own weird analysis, many people can't even tell what is what. IGN said PS4's CoD image was 1080p and X1 was 720p. People all claimed PS4 looked better. They looked the same to me. Turns out IGN said a few weeks later they accidentally goofed the image capture and both were 720p. What a surprise. Just as I thought.

Or GG saying KZ SF's MP is native 1080p. Many gamers couldn't even tell they actually switched it, with the dev admitting in an article it's not true native 1080p, but that clever way of processing the image to closely resemble true 1080p. DF didn't post it till months later, yet most assumed it was 1080p the whole time when it wasn't.
 
I'm going to pass on the Xbox One version because I am not all that in to shooters (campaign guy) and a friend who works for Target can get me the Xbox 360 version for $20. I never ask how.

No brainer at that price even if I don't like it.

All I have to do is look at Bluepoint's magnificent 360 Titanfall, what they managed with that aging hardware and half gig of RAM, to realize we have absolutely nothing to worry about in-so-far as the quality of XB1 games are concerned. Developers have so much more to work with. Is the PS4's hardware superior? Technically, without question. Will their results be consistently superior? Probably not.

It looks worse then other last gen source engine games everywhere I seen it.
 
Anyone saying the game is as good on the 36o as it is on the Xbox One is off their rocker. That's all i got.
 
The only difference is that 192p jump and better textures. Everything else is the same.
It's a remarkable port to lesser hardware. They even use the hard drive and disk drive in tandem, just like Bungie in the first three Halos. There is no install option.

Damn, DF was right. Some areas of the 360 training look eerily similar to the XB1's. Fantastic port job.

After watching the video, it seems like the 360 is on low settings at 600p, XB1 on medium settings at 792p and PC on high settings at 1080p.

Makes me wonder what the PS3 and that blueray drive could have done with it. Respawn has an awesome future--and they're just getting started! That's the neat thing; you can change the FPS settings in the 360 version , open 60 or locked 30.

Yeah, I heard about that. Neat feature. I wonder why they didn't introduce this function in the XB1 version as well.

Not based on the videos I've seen. The 360 version looks noticeably worse.
 
The existence of the 360 version is weird in general. I get the feeling and this is straight from my ass, but I wouldn't be surprised if at one point the 360 version was the main goal for Respawn and that the X1/PC version were actually the ports that got re-prioritized within the past 1-1.5 years, while Bluepoint got hired to finish the work on the 360 version. Just my guess, but it would explain a lot.

As much as I like the game on X1, you can tell some things were last minute patch jobs, like the mutliplayer campaign for instance. I mean, after people finish them to unlock the two customizable Titans, there is literally no reason to replay them, it seems like a last minute tack on. Overall it just feels like the X1 version came in a little hot. Best multiplayer game I've played in a long time, but I feel like they probably wanted to add a lot more and hopefully the DLC helps them realize that fully.

Yeah, I think if there's one problem with Titanfall, its the lack of making the player feel like they're playing towards something. New player models, weapon camos, weapon attachments, and maybe even armor attachments for your Titan would go a long way in adding a sense of depth to the proceedings.

On the other hand, the game play is fantastic, and I wouldn't change a thing about it. So ultimately my gripes are purely cosmetic, but I do think they would add something tangible to the overall enjoyment for many people, not to mention add to the games longevity.
