Xbox And Bethesda Games Showcase And Extended Showcase, June 12th, And June 14th At 10 AM PT 2022 - USE SPOILER TAGS FOR LEAKS

If I buy windows 10 from the Microsoft store will it count towards Microsoft reward points?

Remember they didn't say these are all the games coming.

But yes one of MS many studios really should have a game coming this year other than Obsidians Pentiment (which looks great).
If they really are holding off on Goldeneye because it features Russians? Come on.

1 vs 100 is also supposed to be coming back this year.

Anything big would have been announced/shown.

I really don't get the hype for golden eye, it stood out at the time because we didn't have anything else like it out on console but there are so many superior FPS games that have come out since then that it seems a bit silly to bring it back now.

You're naming a bunch of things that everybody knows are more than a year out. This was just the next 12 months.
Which is why the show wasn’t very good. Focusing on the next 12 months is shortsighted in my opinion. The structure wasn’t even that good, just a bunch of trailers randomly thrown together. I get that they want to be clear on their messaging, but it’s not one or the other.

All they need is to separate segments of the showcase into what’s coming in 12 months and the other segment on future project updates.

Sooo is Kojima going to be working on two games, Death Stranding 2 and the Xbox game, at the same time?

Like how far out could the Xbox game be? I feel like his appearance was pointless if they weren't going to show anything.

Another case of damned if they do, and damned if they don't. They will never appeal to everyone. I think they did what they wanted to do. Variety, Game Pass, Exclusives, Japanese support and all the games committed to come out within the next 12 months without getting people's hopes up for games not ready. Kojima was the misnomer.

I think his appearance is pointless either way

Why..... updates on 2024 or beyond games will be minimal, or CGI trailers that nobody likes.

Part of the issue with the whole industry is announcing and trying to show games too early.

Sort of correct. I agree that the industry historically has done that and it hasn’t gone well. They shouldn’t announce things too early, but it is just half of it. They don’t curate the release of information of what they announce well. For example, Fable and Avowed have already been announced. They should be responsible and include updates in a future projects segments on these games as they build up to release, not just be completely silent on them. Behind the scenes, concept art, screen shots, etc. stuff like that. Would certainly be better than playing a recording of Kojima talking about some long off conceptual pipe dream.

I gave the show a B-. There's certainly a lot of stuff that looks interesting, and I'm loving what Starfield is trying to do, but I never got a "hey, I didn't know about this game and it's freaking huge" vibe - while I did get the "oh, yet another animated game" vibe several times. I think as someone who has gotten good value from GamePass, it works out fine for me, but I just didn't get really hyped over anything new. (Though I am curious about their Civ competitor, which if it's done well could easily chew up thousands of hours of my life on PC).

Not in a show like this. That is something each company can do when they have something, like Bethesda has done over the last year with Starfield.

Yeah, that Kojima video was pointless and shouldn't have been included

Forza Motorsport has me super hyped.
Redfall actually looked more interesting than I was expecting.
Starfield got me pumped.
Diable 4 has me excited.
