Short term or long term? Depends on where they stand on the kind of return their wanting. If they want returns for the short term, then the brand will take a hit. I can promise you that, If they look to the long term, they'll make a lot of return in the long term, and save the brand.
 
I really wonder if it's a matter of the big established franchises remaining multiplatform (maybe with a time limit) and whatever new IP's come to existence being exclusive to Xbox?

I wouldn't have an issue with that scenario.

Yes. Microsoft isn't buying Sega. I'm pretty confident they kicked the tires but it's not a good purchase. They will have a partnership. They already do...it's just not formalized. Personally looking forward to it. Sega is a great partner for Game Pass on both console and PC. Now just get Persona on Game Pass!

I'd like to see some IP's return from SEGA. Hopefully XGS Publishing could spark some new projects with that partnership. I don't think they'd be a bad investment for acquisition though. SEGA is way more than what's currently being put out there to gain, there's so much more potential.

Tease the Initiative game, show updated stuff for Infinite and Hellblade 2...those sorts of things.

Things they shouldn’t show; halo (not even a mp beta), forza (even horizon), gears (unless it’s a f2p BR), or hellblade it should be stuff from games not shown last year

Why? After the lackluster Infinite reception, I think a quick look at updated visuals could get people excited again.

We haven’t seen any Hellblade updates, and the VGAs are where they first showed it.

But above all else, just show us the Initiative game!!

Nah, I just feel we need to be surprised with their other and it new ip. They should hold a separate event for halo or other games like in March, with teases and go all out for e3.

Yeah, they did, but they also showed project Mara, would rather see something on that though.

I’m on the fence with the initiative, what ever it is I hope it’s more than just a logo teaser for their game.
 
I'll be honest with you. They need to show something, anything to bring some excitement over to the new year. ( Outside of the joy of sold out consoles)
