If you never played MGS 1-3 I can see not really loving 4 since it's kind of the final game in that series. These are the only Kojima games I've played, but I loved every single one of them, especially 3. Never played 5, but I'm sure it's a great game.I have only played MGS4 and I didn’t even finish it. I bought Death Stranding from PSN a couple weeks ago for $20. Hope to start that up this week.
I suspect PS fans will say he was never any good anyway so no loss.
5 would also be a better starting point for someone who has never played any since it has minimal story. 4 is Metal Gear craziness turned up to 11 so you definitely need to already love that.If you never played MGS 1-3 I can see not really loving 4 since it's kind of the final game in that series. I hope it makes no sense. Hope it's the biggest train wreck of WTF storytelling of all time. Something only possible with Kojima unchained. The freeway pile-up of videogames. A dump truck full of s***....on fire...speeding down the street. Something only possible in our dreams...the ones where we grow our gardens by pissing on dirt. A coherent Kojima is the non alcoholic beer and decaf coffee of gaming. What's the point?I just hope whatever this new Kojima game is, it makes some sort of sense in terms of storytelling. I'd be more hype over a new project from Sakaguchi or Mikami, but at least it's another well known Japanese name developing a project for Xbox, that'll help pursuade other Japanese devs to maybe consider the platform. Like back in the 360 era.
To me a Kojima game is like an overly dramatic IG model/ self proclaimed actress at a drama. Pretty to look at on screen but her performance is a cringe fest.I hope it makes no sense. Nah, he’s Ninja, started with an ms platform and then bounced around a bit, only less dancing but plenty of dabbingTo me a Kojima game is like an overly dramatic IG model/ self proclaimed actress at a drama. Pretty to look at on screen but her performance is a cringe fest.
He’s a visionary that makes boring games.Union about to become lifelong Kojima fans all of a sudden

I got it on sale a month or so ago for $20 on PSN.Kojima is his own thing. His games are visually interesting and he pushes envelopes as well. I enjoy the details. I love how out-of-the-box he is, but he is definitely existing in his own world when it comes to making stuff make sense, lol.
I still want to try Death Stranding, but won't pay full price knowing I may not like it. I definitely think he is over-rated, but he is so unique that I am glad he is there.
My PS4 is a dust collector now. I am fully in this new gen, so going back to the old machines ain't happening. Doesn't mean I don't play old games, but If it ain't on my Series X, it ain't getting played, lol.I got it on sale a month or so ago for $20 on PSN.
