Zenimax Media/Bethesda

No it isn't.

1. Contractual based games will be released on the platforms they were signed on to. GhostWire and DeathLoop. Those are the only two contractually bound games that we know are going to the PS5. Big maybe on Starfield.

2. After that, nothing from Bethesda will be on Playstation consoles. There was never anything BEYOND those two games OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED as coming to the Playstation. Nothing.

3. This means....that every future Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Wolfenstein, Doom, etc are going to be on gamepass platforms only...i.e. Xbox/PC.

A note on Starfield. Since the Jim Ryan doesn't even know if the game will be on the PS5, it leads me to believe it will not. Obviously GhostWire was signed on, but apparently Starfield was not. Due to this.....I personally don't believe Starfield will be on the PS5 otherwise there wouldn't be confusion ergo the GhostWire will be the only future game Bethesda releases on the Playstation.

If true, RIP Playstation

You don't know. You should put a disclaimer.
MS needs to put a actual list.
From what has actually been said I don't see how it's anything less than every single game that was in production before March.
But I don't know either.

What has actually been said is....

They will honor all contracts that were already in place.
They will continue to support legacy games.
Games will be 1st on XB or best on XB.

1. Jim Ryan doesn't know. Why wouldn't he know of ALL people? Give me a reason that makes sense. If contracts were signed why wouldn't he know which contracts were and were not signed? LOL.

2. Games OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED FOR THE PS5. Which ones out of that list were? ES6, Fallout 5, etc?

Nailed it.

Speaking of contracts. Hypothetical question. Do one need a contract to develop a game for anyone? I can't see that being a thing. If I was a developer, I could develop games for any and all gaming devices until the cows come home. I don't need a contract to do that. Does a developer need a contract to release the game on a console? I assume there must be a contract at that point. Surely they need permission to have the console logo on the box, be on the digital store front and access to the online infrastructure.

But I am pretty sure nobody needs any contract to build a game. Maybe starseeker can answer this, as he is developing a game. I am going to assume he hasn't need to sign a contract or get permission to make his game.

If it wasn't he would say it wasn't.

If they were working on games pre acquisition(they were duh)
Those games were being made for PS hardware on PS dev kits which means they had to purchase the rights from Sony to do so.

Purchasing a dev kit from Sony doesn't put you in a contract with every game you make, lol!

So you don't have a reason? He didn't say that he was unsure of GhostWire or Deathloop, but all of a sudden he 'doesn't know' about those other games. LOL.

Nope not how that works. Officially Announced. I can buy a PS5 devkit and be working on a Xbox dev kit and ANNOUNCE and release my game ONLY on the Xbox.

Just because a game is being worked on does not mean it is going to or has to be released on a specific platform. Halo CE was originally being worked on for PC and unlike this situation was actually announced as coming to PC before it released exclusively as an OG Xbox launch title.

He didn't say no...no matter how we spin it.
Maybe MS is fighting it?

You cannot start production on a officially licensed game without buying the rights.
Sometimes devs have no publisher and work on a game that what? Gets picked up by a publisher who takes care of the rest.

If you are developing a game....you need to list what consoles you are targeting. This will be announced either by publisher or platform holder.

None of those previous games outside of GhostWire and Deathloop have been announced for PS5. That is a fact.

Regardless of how you read that....this means that future AAA Bethesda games have no contractual agreement to release on Playstation hardware.

To work on game for PS you need to buy the license.

No you don't. I could start working on a game right now that I want to release on PS and not do a license yet. "The Medium" developer plans to port his already completed game to PlayStation at a later date (he doesn't even have a PS5 dev kit yet). So he already built a game that he plans to put on PlayStation without a contract with Sony.

Nope!

How many times do we get surprise 3rd party announcements?
(SPOILER every year)

They have been working on multiple multiplats.
When more than the two we are aware of release on PS I will be proven correct and I don't wanna hear the spin excuses.

just to let you know The Living Tribunal sees everything in every multidimensions and you have spread nonsense at other dimensions forced The Living Tribunal to intervene and put you in the correct dimension because you out of control.

Bro, you are the only one that sees it differently from everyone else, doesn't that tell you something?

Ghostwire and Deathloop coming to PS5. ESO and FO76 will still be supported on Playstation. The rest, in the future, will be on Gamepass. So tough titty said the kitty but the milk is sour.

When a game is being worked on that is a obligation.
Games have been in development that we aren't aware of.
