People are still arguing about this? It's getting to the "it's corny, let it go" phase now. The game's been out a while now & I never saw what the huge deal was anyways. Of course a piece of hardware that has slightly lower specs the game is going to run different. Does anybody want to talk about the actual game anymore or is this just going to be frames per second blah blah blah forever?

Yeah, I'm here after the report. I'm not really sure what to do about all this. McMasters did delete a lot of posts, so it looks more one-sided than it was.

I don't feel like laying down the law. I'll just say McMasters and Hissatsu should break it up and stop with the personal remarks. Please return to bickering about the topic at hand. Thank you.

I'm currently on my second play through and I'll be there on day one when the next game comes out.

I absolutely agree. I missed out on it the first time around as well. But I love it.

It's like a smoother Uncharted with better gunplay but worse melee combat and just enough AC mixed in for good measure.

Yeah it's interesting to even see gaming journalist claiming more power equals market dominance. They should know better based on recent history that it doesn't always play out like that.

Has anyone tried playing this over remote play on their Vita yet? The controls are set up better than any other PS4 game I've tried so far.

Remote play is a cool idea. But not really practical on that small of a screen. Imo

This may the One game that makes sense to play via Vita though.
 
I don't think it was too short but I do wish it was longer because I liked it so much :D I took my time looking around and got about 18 hours out of the first play through, that's actually quite long for a game like this now a days.
 
i am shocked at how much i still like this game, i finished it 100% on 360 and thought buying it again would be nice for seeing visual upgrades but i wouldnt have the urge to play it much but man was i wrong.. and the visuals are helping in me wanting to further the game

i really hope they dont mess up TR2, it is for me miles better then Uncharted in every way except story (i am only comparing cause they are similar and UC series was a fav of mine)
 
The Definitive edition has some nice upgrades over the PC version. The only things really lacking in the Definitive editions are a few textures are lower res, the lower shadow quality of the hair, and the lack of tessellation, but the benefits of having far improved TressFX hair rendering, more realistic skin shaders, the new lighting and particle effects, and all new physics-based dynamic foliage are big pluses. I've been abusing the Share button. The game is too beautiful!

I agree. But a locked 30 isn't horrible. Disappointing though.

But I was talking about double standards. So and so game is only 30 fps. But it does all these other things. Why make excuses for one and not the other?

Anyway I fully expect sub 1080P/30 fps down the road even for some PS4 games. If they're pushing the console I won't mind.
 
i said it before and i'll say it again, both consoles are underpowered. these new consoles should have been able to run this game in 1080p/60fps LOCKED without breaking a sweat

both companies disappointed me with how safe they played it and i pray to god this generation doesnt last over 5 years. the longer it goes on the more sacrifices will be made for games
 
That's true. The hardware is disappointing in that regard. Especially X1.

Hopefully the games will make up for it all.
