Sony drops PS Now support on everything except PS4 and PC

I just watched 4 video reviews on youtube of PS Now. Seems much better than I thought. This review was really good:

Other than the 1 minute game prep time, it looks damn good and played good. Not that I want it, but it sure looks better than OnLive did.

Nothing is ever as bad as people make it out to be. Streaming isn't the ideal way to play games but it still gets the job done. Just like someone used the example that Blu-ray will always be a better option than streaming movies.

Wow. Completely indistinguishable from the real thing. So responsive.

I wonder if they will convert the win32 program to a Windows store app for use on Windows devices and the Xbox One entertainment console.

Exclusive no more: PlayStation 4 games are coming to the PC via PlayStation Now

Clickbait. Right in your link it says "There's no firm word yet on what games will be included.". lol People need to read.

The Xfanboys are trying to get revenge but the only difference is it's not equal right?... For starters you won't see every game/exclusive on PsNow. Going by history Sony is SLOW. We'll get less than half the library in 3 years. That's hardly worth selling my Ps4 and moving to nothing but PC+Nintendo 2. Games are not running natively on your PC .The PsNow version of games will be insanely inferior. 3. You can't buy games 4. Not eveyr game will stay on PsNow ane New IP's are announced on Ps4 nearly every month exclusiley.

The X1 is opposite of everything I just listed . Pretty much all it's games are on PC and in superior quality plus the games in general just aren't that impmressive.

When it's all said and done Sony was vague. and people are jumping to conclusions without knowing any detail. The click bait artcles did their job well. Again people need to read. Sony said "Ps4 games". They didn't say "all Ps4 exclusives". That's a huge assumption and reach. .

For starters you won't see every game/exclusive on PsNow. Going by history Sony is SLOW. We'll get less than half the library in 3 years.

For PS3 you can get all the Killzones, all the Uncharteds, all the infamouses, most of the Ratchets, all the god of wars, the last of us, Puppeteer,Heavy Rain, Beyond 2 souls.

The biggest ommisions are MGS4 , LBP and the GT games.

The service only started in 2014 and has basically stolen 95% of the reason to buy a PS3. Most of the PS3s 2013 release library were on the service before 2014 ended.

The biggest problem is most of Sonys first party on PS4 since launch are remasters which are already on the service . Year by year that means

2013 Knack, Killzone 4,
2014 Infamous Second Son, Driveclub
2015 Bloodborne, Until Dawn
2016 Uncharted 4, Ratchet remake, The Last guardian
2017 Horizon ZD, Gravity Rush 2

Barely double digits for non remakes. Half of which not worth a free trial.

Of course you can believe that Sony just dont want to make a return on a $380m investment by suggesting the PC market has a hard on for sub-par version of games already on a PC and the exclusives Playstation owners dont like like Knack, Driveclub and Until Dawn. Lets see how that goes.

All we know is Sony have no problems putting Naughty Dog, Geurilla Games, SuckerPunch, Insomniac on the service in less than a year.

Yes. Its very different from XPA. You'll need a $xxx rig to replicate the Xbox library on a PC with similar performance plus the cost of the game. Whereas your $5 Raspberry Pi (the free one that comes on magazines) is enough to run PS4 exclusives.

And hey, you dont need to buy any of the games since Sony has culled the multiplayer from most of their titles, meaning very little replayability. You can zip through that horizon, uncharted and bloodborne combo campaigns in half the time of that free week. Or take a month for a 3rd the cost of a retail game.

I'm actually loving the service right now. Just don't play action games with it. But right now, I'm playing Trails in the Sky: Cold Steel and loving it. I need to test this out on my pc

Nothing you posted refutes my points...

Kvally: What's funny ? You guys are reaching at best.... He's trying to argue opinion with fact. . The Ps3 has quite a few games that are missing from the service and many of them like TLOU I wouldn't touch on PsNow. Again New IP's are annnounced exclusively on Ps4 nearly every month.

PsNow factually runs at lower quality than Netflix it's nowhere close to mimicing the actual hardware even with the best internet connection. Compared to the Pro ithe differences are night and day. With PsNow you are a limited to certain genre's but even then you never get fully immersed. Coming from someone who doesn't mind 720p PsNow is trash.

Most everything he said is a spin or just dumb opinion.

Nope. Fact remains that we no longer need to buy a PlayStation to play the PS4 games. Just like we no longer need to buy an Xbox to play Xbox games. We can play the games on PC now, that is a fact.

Also it is unlikely every PS4 game will make it on to PS Now. Just like it is factual that not every Xbox game from MS will be coming to PC.

But now that we can play PS4 and Xbox One games on PC, and we don't need to buy the consoles, they no longer have exclusives.

You can spin it all day long buy coming up with excuses, such as quality, but that doesn't change the fact that I can play the games on PC. Therefore, no longer exclusive. That is a fact as well.

Just because you won't touch the games at 720p doesn't mean millions won't be. It's obviously successful for Sony. Not to mention, the reviews for PS Now are great.

Quite a few = depends on what your after. No ones remotely bothered that Resistance 2 and Motorstorm and Lair arent on the service.

However if you want to play naughty dog games, Suckerpunch games, Santa Monica Games, guerilla games...games. Yes. Support is guarenteed.

Their PS4 games showing up are just on line with expectations Sony sets.

PSNow supports 720p because its they atypical resolution of PS3 games. We dont know what res PS4 games will support...but when Youtube supports 1080p for FREE. You sure as s*** better do for $20 a month.

Yeah its not as good a quality as native, but at the end of the day Netflix isnt as good as blu ray and you dont get the directors commentary, but you can watch a dozen box sets for $5 a month on or pay $720 for same and switch discs like a schmuck.

Suggesting the netflix viewer is missing out on anything major isnt seeing the forest for the trees

Wow. Ps now sucks on pc. Does not even recognize controller. Back to using my ps4 controller exclusively for Steam and its great DS4 controller support.

I don't think it's the resolution but the latency in the controls that kills playing streaming games for me. Mostly everything is unplayable.

Actually ps now barely even works on pc. So many things are completely broken with the pc version of ps now that it's not even functional. I'm trying my best to get it to work for my pc, but with zero luck. I have yet to even start a game yet.

My son is doing the 7 day free trial on his PC with no issues.

No such thing as no issues. He's just keeping quiet to you about the problems of the service or he got extremely lucky. Reports across the board slam the pc version.

Ok.

It's true. The service has been dogged since its conception. The pc version app is even worse.
Ok, I will let him know that you told him his experience isn't really his experience. Thank you for that.

I actually already knows. He'd rather be gaming on an Xbox One than a game streaming service.

By downplaying the amount of Sony exclusives it kills your arguent. The X1 is nowhere close to matching the Playstation's library in exclusives. Assuming that more than half Sony's library is goig to PsNow is nothing more tha a reach at best.

At no point did I argue quality = exclusive. Superior games are just another reasono to keep/buy the original hardware. No one here is "spinning" besides you and Sasquatch. lol

The reality is you'll play SOME titles at s***ty quality on PsNow and the games that do come will be a year + away.On the the flip side we get every X1 game on PC (Outside a few titles). You can also buy them at superior quality.

Also we don't know wich games are going to be on PsNow and when. The games are exclusive untill Sony says otherwise.

Your reaching...

1. That's your opinion not fact... 2. The games you listed are no where close to all the exclusives on Ps3 lol . 3 Trying to argue "only popular games count" holds no weight. 4. You pretty much agreed with me and don't realise it. LOL

THE END. ...

Your opinion is noted, unless you are talking quantity, then of course.

No one here is "spinning" besides you and Sasquatch. lol

You are in full spin mode, and the only one trolling this thread.

Thanks for your speculation.

A lie.

Also we don't know wich games are going to be on PsNow and when.

Based on their history with many of the big first party games coming to PS Now from PS3, we have idea. As for when, this fall.

The games are exclusive untill Sony says otherwise.

The games are no longer exclusive if I can play them on PC and don't have to buy a PS4. Luckily, Sony doesn't make the rules.

Your reaching...

Your failing.

THE END. ...

Thank god.
