LevelCap says the DMR's suck but has a video of him destroying kids with it. Sorry, but the DMR needed a nerf, they were pretty much all range weapons in BF3, not that people actually have to be good in order to use them, they want to complain about it.

SKS, M417, and other rifles were spammed to hell in BF3. I'm glad they gave them a nerfing in BF4.
 
DMRs do suck, they need a drastic boost. The SKS was my most used gun in BF3, you have no idea how disappointed I've been in how crappy they made the DMRs.

Spammed? Like 2 people in every match used then, and 90% used the M16, AEK, and M416? What are you talking about?
 
well he only shows highlights, if he showed full games with an DMR you will see all the flaws

i am not a DMR user but they never bothered me in BF3 so i was surprised they nerfed it
 
I started playing single player and made it to the part where I run off the road in the vehicle and it sent me to the dashboard and I had no games saves. Do I have to manually save on this game?
 
Oh DICE and your game. Can drop 15ft without taking damage but cannot climb over a fence that is 2ft high.
 
I didn't even notice the DMRs in BF4, which makes me pretty happy to hear they're nerfed, now for that damned M26 mass!

Because (IMO at least) FPS isn't just about shooting and having good aim, it's also about having a good defense. If you don't have any time at all to react and defend yourself (like going prone behind a wall when you first get hit) then you may as well play with no cover at all.

I do agree though that I would love a game type/mode that's like normal but without the mini-map.

Wouldn't one argue that defense can still be played in hardcore mode? You know...don't expose yourself if you don't want to get shot?
 
Have the DICE patches been released yet and do they work? I'm going to get back into playing it this week.
 
X1 still hasn't received it's patch yet, it's still a mess. PC/PS have had patches but it's still faaaaar from perfect.

apart from sound going out i have been able to play pretty regularly

on some days i do have a scenario where i cant join any game from server browser though
 
Yeah. Was playing last night. It seems to be getting a little better. No games dropped at all last night although the new thing is smart match not bringing in your party. Now I'm having to join over the serverbrowser after ssomeone gets into a game.

People would literally use them in CQC matches and just spray. With the damage those things do it'll put you down easily. Now you actually have to aim for someone. DMR's shouldn't be all purpose, it's unbalanced that way.

Snipers are worse, those need to a nerfing as well.

The aim assist needs to be weakened as well. I have never played a game in which the aim assist this strong.
 
Does this game have motion blur on Xbox One? I feel like when I'm moving around the map that the frame rate isn't a true 60fps until I stand still or going into aiming at someone.

So it's 60fps when standing still or engaging in gunplay but when basically traversing the map, it dips below 60fps?

Yeah, it's not a steady 60 fps. I sold my PS4 and just went back to pc. As I was playing, I just kept telling myself that "right now", it just wasn't worth it. So far, next gen has been a let down for me.

Ugh.....WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is gonna sound really weird, but I thought the 360 version of BF4 ran smoother....

Is it me or does the game look smoother when looking around in 360 compared to X1? Is there an intentional motion blur on in the X1 version?
 
Next gen looks better. You can't always go by a Youtube video, plus you never really know which are framerate drops and and which are caused by lag.

BF4 plays fairly smooth for me on X1. Most of the issues feel like the netcode. Sure, there's no way it holds 60 fps, but it still feels like it is holding at a reasonable rate. It definitely feels a lot smoother than the 30 fps or less on BF3.

I played many hours of BF4 on 360 before I got the X1, the thing that's bothering me is the blurryness when looking around in the game on the X1. I don't remember having that issue with the 360 version, so when I play the X1 I'm thinking to myself, where is this blur coming from? It's really annoying and for some reason I can't stand it for more than a few minutes and I find myself ejecting the game to play something else.
