The server connection issues are the biggest problem for me now...I've gotten over the FPS and pop-in issues. Game is that fun.

Is it playing with multiple people or just personal invites? I have only done invites playing co op with my wife and daughter, that has been fine for me.

I don't understand what you're asking (multiple people or personal invites?). At any rate, sometimes the game won't connect me to the Ubisoft servers, preventing people from inviting me to their games. Other times, the game doesn't show some of my friends as online.

I haven't tried joining random co op games.

Sorry I was typing fast on my phone. :) I mean matchmaking or personal invites. You answered my awfully worded question regardless.

So people still think there are no optimization issues? The game just sounds rushed. There are a variety of bugs and glitches in the game as emphasized by the thousands of gamers on forums and now DF joins in. Well, I'm glad I returned it. Will wait till they fix the game before buying later when the price drops and with all these negative news, it's probably going to be quick too.

In less strenuous areas, frame-rates often hit a 30fps lock on the Xbox One, although the same experience doesn't translate over to the PS4 all the time, which still drops frames more often. Since we aren't dealing with scenes crammed with NPCs in these instances, it's hard to see what exactly is causing the PS4 to be hit so hard - the difference cannot be explained by the 10 per cent boost in CPU clock-speed on the Xbox One, perhaps suggesting that the underlying netcode issues are more to blame here.

Beyond the more regular drops in performance, there also a number of other frame-rate destroying bugs we encountered whilst playing co-operatively online. We should stress that these are isolated incidents occurring during gameplay, but based on the groundswell of crowd-sourced bug reports, it's clear that there are a lot of dissatisfied gamers out there encountering lots of problems.

We've only managed to encounter the 'broken' frame-rate bug once on Xbox One while playing co-op online, but it's worth mentioning that the frame-time bugs that impacted our PS4 online experience can occur more frequently. It's not exactly clear what is causing these issues to occur, but what is clear is that both single-player and co-op modes possess issues - ranging from minor glitches to major, game-breaking bugs.

Overall, it's very difficult to avoid the sense that Assassin's Creed Unity was released in an unfinished state. On PC in particular, it really feels like beta code - feature-complete, but lacking in optimisation, with bugs manifesting regularly. On console, the game is more stable, but clearly performance is unacceptable - the frequent dips to 25fps on Xbox One are jarring enough, but it remains truly remarkable that the PS4 game should drop just as often to 20fps. Last year, Ubisoft had the courage to realise that Watch Dogs wasn't ready for release and pushed the game back. The end product might not have been a masterpiece, but we didn't encounter any game-breaking bugs and performance was generally solid. We can't help but wonder how long it will take until Assassin's Creed Unity is in the same state. There's certainly a long way to go yet.

Who said the game didn't have issues?

I'm so dumb. I didn't enable the companion app tracking in the game. Not that it matters a whole lot, as far as I can tell. I still can't consistently access Nomad chests.

Running fine =/= No issues

Being adequate for one person is another person's unplayable; and even then it depends on the day.

So is Ubi going to fix the framerate problems?

I saw this video just now...X1 holding up nicely in several parts, graphically speaking

Whatever the reasons X1 version runs better, just let it go DM. Why can't you just accept that X1 is the slightly better version for Unity.

You are making yourself looks bad, trying too hard to show that the issue is with Ubisoft poor optimisation on PS4. Maybe it is, maybe not. Bottom Line is X1 runs better. If Unity is patched & PS4 turn out to run better, then we can open the book again & discuss, until then, why not just let it go.

I thought you are better than some hardcore members here from the other side of the fence (which I shall not named), but you shown otherwise from this thread.

Everytime you post DF article with PS4 the better version, you claimed its purely for knowledge/Info, & called out hardcore x1 fans from being defensive. But when DF have an article where X1 runs better, you get all so defensive. Come on, you are better than that.

I'm not defending the 4 though. My complaint is about the game in general. All platforms are having issues, star, and that is my complaint. The game just sounds like it's not optimized well enough for release. DF made a valid point with why not delay AC: Unity just like they did with Watch Dogs? Yeah, the game got delayed but at least the game didn't have much bugs or issues. If you noticed, all my comments are on the title itself and not on the X1 or any other platform. I'm sorry you took it that way but that was not my intent at all.

Main differences I see are the sharpness & details of the textures. I think the burrness of X1 is the lower resolution & AA used.

So you acknowledge X1 is the better version, & there are issues (a point which I think most people do not disagreed)?

Fine then. :)

Yes. I've acknowledged already but like DF said, the game just has issues on its own, some minor, others game-breaking.

Xb1 version seems to run smoother than the PS4 version when both games see their dips in frames (below 30), but it doesn't mean either version offers a smooth experience.

The game was meant to be 30fps for a reason and Ubisoft Kiev (PC) failed even there.

The game has issues on PC, XB1 and PS4. That tells me the developers are pathetic, they cannot develop for this generation of console nor PC.

Thankfully Far Cry 4 is a great game.

On the money and post of the month.

Far Cry 4 is made by a different team though and with a different engine correct?

Well, after 3 hours or so. Game is very good and I'd suggest that those being put off by Digital Farce, should "Jump In".

No noticeable issues with fps as yet and the game controls well.

Game looks fantastic and the amount of people on the streets and in buildings is immense.

Only problem so far is when I tried to run Uplay through the game and it crashed the system.

I'd recommend this game to all.

p.s.
The phone/tablet App is a nice addition as well.

Just beat it, I only encountered minor hiccups overall. I wouldn't have even thought of them if the internet hadn't gone crazy about it. My only complaint is the stuff in the present continues to get weaker, makes me miss Desmond

I noticed the FPS drops within the first 20 minutes.

Your tune may have slightly changed, but your old posts don't magically disappear; accusations of MS paying off developers and stuff, MSs console negatively impacting the entire industry (that was you, right?). You have definitely laid it all on the table with this game; it was clearly your intent, if not the most blatant case of Freudian slip to be witnessed by the internets.

Glad I am not getting either version...but it's fun to watch the gap wars.
