Game looks like crap no matter what resolution you play at. Should have been a $30 at most expansion for BF4.
The game isn't good, but not because of resolution. Resolution is the least of concerns for this pile of turd.
Yeah, it is weird. Especially for a game that looks worse.
I didn't play the beta, so I can't speak to if it is "good" or not. I do know that none of the footage has appealed to me. I felt pretty let down by BF4, so I'm skipping Battlefield for until the release a new Bad Company.
This game will not live long. Battlefront will come out an destroy everything in it's path, I think. Maybe even Halo 5.

Honestly, I have little faith in Battlefront. EA & Dice have lost a lot of what made them great at Epic shooters.
Battlefront will destroy many games simply because it carries the Star Wars name. With that said, it's going to be easy for most games to destroy Hardline.
I think Siege will be great in a different way. I have doubts that it will reach that mass appeal. However Battlefront turns out, it will dominate on the Star Wars name alone. DiCE themselves are handling it, so hopefully they can get that magic back. BF 4 felt forced( lol), and I keep thinking that maybe they had lost some passion for the franchise. Meh. Their effort with this game really shines through.

They can easily get it to 1080p on the PS4 and it wouldn't take too much effort.
Therein lies your problem...
DICE is. Their last game was BF4 and I know you liked that, but it was a letdown all around for me. Bad Company 2 was the last BF game that I thought was worth a damn to be honest.

Seriously the dumbest gimmick to come out of this generation so far. A complete waste of performance resources and developing time. That and none of the maps were anything more than subpar.

10 years a go the BF franchise was one of the greatest FPSs. Since they turned to console though, eh, it has been steadily going down hill.

Now they are more concerned with cranking out yearly or even more often releases rather than innovating. Releasing on 5 different platforms doesn't help either. It isn't surprising they've done nothing to improve the game from BF4.
