Battlefield Hardline PS4=900p, Xbox One=720p

Not that I trust VG Chartz..but

Battlefield 3 has sold 17.07 million copies since October 2011
Battlefield 4 has sold 12.25 million copies since October 2013

BF3 sales per day: 13,656
BF4 sales per day: 32,452

Doesn't take away from amazing sales and amazing high amounts of players still playing like I said many are the ones who rated it soso.

But that meta ;)

and the sales dropped very quickly after a month and it was heavily reduced.

You can't crunch numbers like that. BF3 was out longer, and we all know that most sales happen within the first few months. The legit way to look at the numbers, would be to look at how many copies BF3 sold from Oct 2011 through March 2013 and average daily sales just for that time period, since you're looking at BF4 from Oct 2013 through March 2015.

Any other way, and that's spinning numbers.
That's like saying, in 10 years, you've sold 750 thousand hotdogs the first 6 months, 250 thousands the next 9.5 years. Your average being about 274 hotdogs a day.
I just started selling hotdogs a year ago. I sold 300 thousand hotdogs the first 9 months, and 50 thousand the next 3 months. I sold an average of 959 hotdogs per day. Therefore....I did better than you.

I know....I have wayyyyy too much time on my hands.

With that said, I wouldn't say BF4 is losing popularity compared to BF3 when looking at sales numbers, because, BF3 was out 2 years longer. So, it'd be best to compare BF3 numbers from 2 years ago to BF4 numbers today. Looking at BF4 stats, I see that there are over 80k people playing right now across all platforms, and 2 years ago, I don't think BF3 was sporting those kind of numbers.

Well, the resolution probably has to do with EA/Visceral wanting this to be the fastest running Battlefield ever. From the Beta, for me, it was the best Battlefield as far as game speed/not slowing down/not getting caught on things. The framerate stayed the most solid of any Battlefield I've ever played on consoles. (where BF4 in 64 player on Xbox dips waaaay down in framerate at times on Hainan Resort, Zavod, etc...it almost feels like it's in slow motion compared to the 20 player Team Deathmath honestly) Granted, there's sacrifices in resolution & destruction in Hardline (although the Premium map packs are supposed to have more destruction included) & EA's servers that they rent off companies get thrown into the mix as far as how well things are running...but if people have always b*tched about Battlefield on consoles running slow in the 64 player Conquest, you have to make some sacrifices somewhere. This game looks like they wanted it to run really well & hopefully attract some of the CoD people over with the gangsta theme & fast running gameplay. EA has been after DICE for years to make a Battlefield like this that attracts more casuals & comes out every year as a franchise & it looks so far like it's worked since a lot of my friends who didn't like BF3 & BF4 are now very interested in Hardline.

It's simple, it's using the exact same engine that was used with BF4. People will flock over 720P for Xbox One, but it's not like PS4 has gotten any better.

But I digress for staying on topic, it seems like the thread has already been degraded into a circlejerk playground a long time ago.

Hasn't BF3 been out longer than BF4? If so, then wouldn't BF3 be ahead naturally?

BF3 has been yes. But the sales data was based on same time frames. October to may of their respective years.

It was an open beta for a big name title. Who cares how many played? The reactions were overall not good. How many of those people will actually buy? How many were burned by BF4 and won't buy at launch?

This.

The masses played because it was free. I know a s*** load of people that downloaded it, tried it, and thought it was trash. Someone playing a free beta doesn't amount to a "fan" nor a sale.
